Hans Zimmer has completely outdone himself this time. I think it's one of my favorite soundtracks EVER.

But don't let that get you down. You won't believe how AMAZING this soundtrack is!!!
BTW... Can a score get an Oscar nomination even if it's for a sequel? I don't know how that all works. Is there some kind of "must contain something-% new music" qualification? If so, I'm betting this score would be eligible. Hans re-uses a couple of the themes (Jack's theme, the locket music), but the majority is made up of his new "love theme", which doubles also as an action theme, a dramatic theme, and a light theme.
In fact, I'd say this new theme is to AWE what Across the Stars was to Attack of the Clones. No matter anyone's views on the SW prequels, ya gotta admit the music was great and catchy. Well, so is AWE's!
Did I already say how amazing this soundtrack is?

The love theme for POTC3 is made better then Across the Stars for AOTC. Across the Stars was my least favourite theme from new trilogy.

I still don't have my ticket(s) bought... I'm still waiting on all my friends to be ready to buy them; we're pooling our money together and buying all the tickets in one go so that we all end up in the same auditorium.
