I loved Angela's "... Goodness..." after hearing about Dwight's "heroism".
Very good episode. I know why people would be turned off by the drama, but I think that makes The Office so good.
Michael was his usual self, but not over-the-top himself, maybe excluding the "withholding sex" thing.

Michael was funny without being incredibly awkward in this episode. That's what made it better.

I love the long silence between him and Daryl.
I thought they could've played up the Michael and Toby ride to New York since he dislikes Toby so much.

i think the funniest line was with michael and toby where michael goes "come on we're leaving" "where are we going" "i'm going to smash u in the head with a hammer, lets go."

Pretty funny episode tonight. The "un-shun" and "re-shun" made me laugh every time. As well as Michael planning to jump off the building onto an inflatable castle! The bit with the watermelon was priceless, too.

The storyline itself was fairly absurd, bordering on unbelievable (in a bad way), but there were plenty of laughs. More than usual, actually. BJ Novak wrote the episode, and he's usually good for stronger-than-usual comedy.
And I like Andy now. I like him better as "Drew". Before, he was just painfully obnoxious and unfunny. And I like the little rivalry with Dwight.
Anyone notice that Harold Ramis directed the episode? That's two episodes (three, if you count "A Benihanas Christmas" as two episodes) directed by him.

Yeppers.
I was not impressed by the episode and there's not even a new episode next week to make up for it.

That scene with the watermelon is priceless. Michael's all "BINGO!!! ..... whoa whoa whoa!!" Then the ending scene tops it off!

Not one of the best episodes but had some good moments.
MrX, Harold Ramis is directing one more episode this season, not sure which one though.
By the way, there are three episodes left, 2 will be 40-minutes long and the finale is an hour.

Ouch.
Another really weak one, for me at least.

I liked tonight's episode. It wasn't in the higher tier of episodes, but still pretty good.
I'm glad they didn't go the creepy/easy laugh route with Andy at the high school. It actually made me feel somewhat sympathetic towards him, which would've been completely shattered if he realized and then was proud of the fact that he was dating a high schooler. The scene in the car towards the end with Jim and Andy was very good too.
That saying, the entire Scott plotline was the weakest part of the episode. I thought all of the bit characters dominated this one.

Promo for the next episode.
This is at nbc.com not youtube so I don't think those outside the US can see it. Unless they have a proxy workaround. If I run across a youtube version I'll edit this and put it up.

not that funny of a promo. The Office tends not to be as funny when they take it out of the office

At NBC's "upfront" presentation to advertisers on May 14, Zucker says he expects NBC to unveil five new programs - three dramas, one comedy, and one reality show - for its fall schedule. Zucker and Reilly are considering stretching The Office to an hour and canceling the original Law & Order.
CNN
Not sure how I feel about that. An hour is too long but the way it is now they often feel too short and choppy.

As long as it remains a comedy and doesn't become a dramedy. Because dramedies are usually lacking in the funny.

Actually, The Office is essentially a dramedy. Sometimes, Desperate Housewives has more comedy in one episode than The Office does in an episode.
Although, I don't at all understand why NBC would even consider making The Office an hour-long. But it makes sense, somewhat. They already did a bunch of "super-sized" episodes, which are normal for their comedies. But they also did the hour-long Christmas episode, and the finale will be one-hour.
I don't know how I feel, but I'm leaning towards calling it a potential catastrophe.

they should keep it 30m. The show couldn't handle an hour and would run out of ideas too quickly.

Every episode has loads of deleted scenes, so they could do it. Might be a lot of commercials though. Every episode seems too short for me, so I'm all for it.

Every episode does already have a whole lot of deleted scenes, and they're scenes that are actually funny and are solely deleted for time, nothing else.
I'm all for an hour of The Office and it becoming a full-on dramedy, or even just an hour long comedy. I so hope they make it an hour, that would be fantastic.

Wow, that had to be, hands down, the best episode of the season. Pure gold from beginning to end (but especially the end).
