Aw CTV plays the show on Wednesday this week. No cheating :(

Also I looked at their schedule for next week and it's not the list at all. Is this the last episode until after Christmas then?

I think there's one more, which airs the week after next.

We still get a bit of cheating tonight. We get it an hour early! I think Shrek the Halls is airing at 8pm in the US.

I never saw last week's and never felt like watching it.

I'm assuming I didn't miss anything too significant.

Well, they were setting it up so that Pee Wee somehow figures out Chuck's secret, eventually. Other than that, nothing much. It wasn't my favorite episode.

Good episode tonight. Not my favorite, but it was solid. I like the Olive-Chuck friendship a lot though.

Ditto.

Olive is definitely my favorite character, though. Kristin Chenoweth better be up for an Emmy next year.

Molly Shannon!

Also: Did anyone else get it when Olive said "I knew it was you, Fredo!" Heh

They are so cute. And the espresso guy came back! Poor Olive. :(

I liked how the murder of the week was quickly solved but then came back into the episode later. I was worried it wouldn't. That would not have been good.

Also, is it just me, or was the background music too loud this whole episode?

Last two weeks have been solid but unspectacular for me. The individual quips are as great as ever, but the subplots in Ned/Chuck and Olive pining over Ned is pretty stale. I think they'll get overall storylines more worked out in the future, right now it's a bit shaky.

I never noticed it before, but you know who play really well off each other? Friel and McBride. I always like their dialogues when solving the crimes, it's snappy as hell but pretty perfect.

Yeah I do think that the show hasn't really kept up it's beat from earlier. It's not that the episodes aren't as funny or charming as they were in the beginning, but they're starting to seem repetitive. I did like the note it ended on (for a long time?), but I wonder what else Fuller could have up his sleeve here to keep things interesting.

Hm... well, I thought it was a pretty good episode. Sort of felt a little short to me for some reason...

So, how many more episodes are left to air? I haven't really been keeping track.

Last night was episode 9. Last episode they had ready. That's it for the season, unless the strike has some miracle happen soon.

That's the second time yoshue scared us with bad news. Although last night's episode being the last episode for a while is bad enough. I just figured everyone knew that...

You know, sometimes the criticism from pisher gets to me, and in between episodes I find myself saying "Maybe Pushing Daisies isn't as good as I think it is..." but then I watch it and I love it all over again.

Last night was great, btw. I hope it's not the last until September.

I thought everyone knew, too. Heh. We learned pretty early on the 9th would be the last one. Poor yoshue. :(

Peace,

I just want one scene where Ned says to Olive, look you're 40 and I'm 28, get real. Of course I've only seen a couple of episodes so maybe they did that already.

According to Wiki, Olive is "late 20s, early 30s". Kristen Chenoweth doesn't look old or anything, but. I don't know how well she can pull off "late 20s".

Well, in real life Chenoweth is 39. So, I think she pulls off early 30's just fine, because I think she looks slightly younger than she is.

In my opinion, 39 and 28 isn't that wide of an age difference to the point that a relationship is "out of the question". It's not like they're 14 and 25. But that's just me.

Peace,
Mike

Heh, 14 and 25.

But yeah, she can pull off early 30s just fine. Chuck can pull off late 20s. But maybe that's because she's only 31.
