 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
Tonight's episode is called "Bitches." Heh.
Oh, and Joel McHale of The Soup is playing this week's murder victim? Heck yes.

That's actually the most fitting title ever.

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
Another GREAT episode.
It's a bit overwhelming, but I'm not complaining.

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
One thing that felt really off tonight was the transitions into and out of commercials. Action would just sort of be cut off and then the narration would just start really fast. I haven't noticed this before, but it was bothering me tonight.
Other than that, yes, another great episode.

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
So, Pushing Daisies got 8.88 million viewers and 3.1 in the 18-49 demo. A bit of good news/bad news, unfortunately. But, the good thing is that it's still not doing horrible numbers. Yet.

Oh, and I am some glad that I got to read Marc's post before anyone else got a chance to respond. I don't even want to see the field day that pisher has with these numbers.

Yet. Well, looks like I should have to eat half of my crow pie. I was partially wrong. I was right in that Halloween did have an effect and Pushing Daisies jumped up in the ratings this week compared to it's last episode. But it didn't jump back up as far as I expected it to. At least it's still not within "horrible" territory yet, as Mr. X put it. Peace, Mike

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
Oh wait... I thought the last episode got about 9.5 million. That's actually not so bad after all! 10/31: 8.58 million; 2.6 18-49 demo 11/14: 8.88 million; 3.1 18-49 demo I feel better already! Sorry Mike, I guess it's not really good news/bad news. More like positive news all around. It's not doing as well as it should. Not at all. But an improvement over the last episode is something.

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
The good thing is Pushing Daisies' A18-49 jumped nearly completely back to normal (the episode before Halloween). 3.1/9 this week vs. 3.2/9 on Oct 24th. So, the A18-49 bracket made a nicer jump. Still, I'm not happy until the show is back above 10 million, at least.
11/14/07 - 8.88 million viewers - ? - 3.1/9 A18-49
10/31/07 - 8.57 million viewers - 5.6/10 HH - 2.7/8 A18-49
10/24/07 - 9.67 million viewers - 6.3/10 HH - 3.2/9 A18-49
10/17/07 - 9.858 million viewers - 6.6/11 HH - 3.7/10 A18-49
10/10/07 - 10.263 million viewers - 6.7/11 HH - 3.7/11 A18-49
10/03/07 - 13.032 million viewers - 8.3/14 HH - 4.3/13 A18-49
Peace, Mike

It doesn't matter if he's right or not, he just beats the dead horse. At this point, he's beating a skeleton. Plus, the show could be the highest rated show on TV, and he'd just say that standards are low and it's nothing compared to ratings from 40 years ago.

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
So I did this presentation for class where we had to discuss a writer and present a scene from their movie or TV show. I did Bryan Fuller and Pushing Daisies. I was going to do the pilot from Emerson Card's introduction until the chow is released. But the fucking school PC didn't have DivX and it wouldn't install for some reason, so I used the whole morgue scene from this past episode. It went over REALLY well. Of the 20 people in my class, only one or two had seen it before and they all seemed to love it.

Well, since it looks like that interview is not going to happen, at least I haven't heard anything about it, I have to do my part.

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
Emerson Card's dream being a big Hitchcock homage put a huge grin on my face.
A lot of people had mentioned how Chuck had steadily become less interesting and watching her tonight, I'd say she just seems a lot less happy on set than she did in the pilot. Maybe she feels like Olive is stealing her thunder but the warm smile and constantly upbeat tone of voice just really isn't there as much. Hmm...

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
I've discovered that Pushing Daisies is even better on a second viewing. I loved it last week, but when I rewatched it yesterday, I enjoyed it even more.
As for Chuck, I felt like they were pushing her last week towards possibly getting romantically involved with someone besides Ned, because of the whole no-touch thing. Didn't she seem interested in the whole polygamy thing? And at the end, wondering if they were going to be happy, despite being unable to touch? Maybe that was only to see if Ned would be happy.
If the mood shift isn't due to a forthcoming "love triangle" (omgs!), maybe she was a little down this week because of the Olive kiss last week. I don't really think the actress (Anna Friel) is less enthusiastic, as MovieDude speculated. I think it's more of the character. There might be reason behind it. Still, I'm in love with Anna Friel. So cute.

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
I stopped watching. It's really unfortunate as in the beginning I found it to be the best new show of the season, but it really went downhill. After a few episodes I just didn't care if I watched it or not. I'll likely see it on DVD though. Too bad Fuller's WONDERFALLS couldn't have been the hit instead as that actually stayed great.

So Pee Wee will be recurring? He must be with that ending.

Best episode yet. Loved the ending with the Darlings and Ellen Greene singing.

I have to agree with Snrub, episode 7 was the best episode yet. I also loved the singing of 'Morning Has Broken'. That was a nice pleasant surprise to hear that song!
Peace, Mike

 Re: Pushing Daisies (Season 1)
Aw CTV plays the show on Wednesday this week. No cheating Also I looked at their schedule for next week and it's not the list at all. Is this the last episode until after Christmas then?
