Post Garner to star in & produce Japanese remake...
Jennifer Garner is set to star in and produce [through her own production company] a remake of a very strange Japanese Fantasy Romantic Drama called "Ima, ai ni yukimasu"

Pic made $48.0m in Japan - the third most watched movie of 2004 in Japan. It has an 8.6/10 rating on IMDB,

Supposedly a heartstring puller ala The Notebook. The summary reads "On her deathbed, a dying young woman tells her husband and young son that she will return to them. A year later, father and son happen upon a woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to the dead woman."

Apparently - its a sentimental love drama about two souls finding each other regardless of life & death.
Garner recently starred in a Romantic Drama/Comedy called "Catch and Release" from the writer of Erin Brokovich, has lent her voice to "Charlottes Web" and is supposedly doing a high profile christmas film next year.

So shes going to have a baby, film Alias and star in two films [and produce one] over the next 2 years?
According to Variety; Yup.

Now her 8th most powerful actress ranking is starting to make more sense. Go garner!

Mtv Confirms

But first compares it to The Grudge and The Ring, then admits that its not a thriller at all and is instead a fantasy drama.

Bloody MTV.

Apparently the producers of American Beauty are also in.

I suspect the original director may be in. But i think it'd probobly be more effective if they got someone like Robert Zemekis or a high profile director to helm it.

If they get a strong male lead [a thing which is almost always absent from Garner films] it could be a bona fide success.

I'm not going to start a thread on this, but it's being reported that Affleck and Garner got married yesterday in the Caribbean.
