Post Garner and Affleck Married
After weeks - or has it been months now? - of rumors, Daredevil couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner finally tied the knot on Wednesday in a Caribbean wedding. According to celebrity mag Us Weekly, the twosome's wedding took place at the Parrot Cay resort on the islands of Turks and Caicos (no, we haven't heard of it either). No other details were currently forthcoming, although publicists for both stars confirmed that the wedding did indeed take place; it was also the first official confirmation that Garner was with child. Garner and Affleck -- who are expecting a baby in November -- have been dogged by wedding rumors for quite some time, the most recent being word that they got hitched in West Virginia last week. Affleck and Garner met when filming 2003's Daredevil, but didn't start dating until 2004, after both had ended high-profile romances. Garner had previously been attached to her Alias co-star Michael Vartan, while Affleck endured the extremely public examination of his relationship with Jennifer Lopez, to whom he was engaged at one point. (Interestingly, Vartan and Lopez recently co-starred together as an engaged couple in Monster-in-Law.) Taking a cue from their tabloid-exploited break-ups, Garner and Affleck have kept their relationship very low-profile, though word of their engagement (in April) and Garner's pregnancy (in May) made headlines in celebrity magazines. It's Affleck's first marriage and Garner's second; she was previously married to actor Scott Foley, with whom she split in 2003. --Prepared by IMDb staff

Yawn.

Five years from now it will be all but a memory. On a side note, J-Lo made it a full year with her third husband. Amazing.

Whoop-dee-doo. What Ben Affleck needs is a hit movie so people will actually give a shit about him once again.

Strange baby. A manly horse/hermphadite with manboobs.

Mr. Jennifer Garner and Mrs. Ben Affleck invite you to celebrate in the birth of their hermanphadite, named Pat.

Oh oh I smell a "Daredevil fights Elektra" movie. Oh wait perhaps this will also be in reality TV.

So the marriage took place in Canada right? Cause we did recently pass the bill that would allow something like this to happen ...

Aside from the [expected] unfunny and basically knobby comments in this thread this is wonderful news.

Garner seems to be in her element; and i think its really nice to see a couple stay out of the spotlight in Hollywood.

They could exploit themselves endlessly for $$, but they aren't. Its a good thing for both their careers. And i think in a year or two the public will warm to Affleck once again.

Me too. I was only going to do it out of spite, but he won again. Let's plot to foil him next time.

I didn't know there would be as much make-fun-of bakclash as there is in this thread but o well.

I think they really make a great couple (I've been rooting for them for 2 years) and I'm really happy for them.

This is the World of HJ [Hating Jennifer] Of course there was going to be some poking fun despite the fact they hid their relationship as best they could from the media ever since they started dating.

Being nice to Affleck, I wonder what you said about him during the Gigli, JLO, other stages.

and why would the public warm up to him in a few years - he has to become a better actor first

song: ["End of an Act"] I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark, When he made Pearl Harbor. / I miss you more than that movie missed the point, And that's an awful lot, girl. / And now, now you've gone away, And all I'm trying to say, is: Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you. / I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school, He was terrible in that film. / I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part, He's way better than Ben Affleck. / And now, all I can think about is your smile, and that shitty movie, too! Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you. / Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies? / I guess Pearl Harbor sucked, just a little bit more than I miss you.

Okay, that doesn't even sound like a real song, and a shitty one if it were made up.

I am one of the very few that actually respect Ben Affleck quite alot. I don't know why he got the worse end of the Bennifer backlash. He is not bad at all at acting, but he has made some questionable movie choices, but more great ones than bad.

Despite my personal loss of interest in Garner over the year, I still believe she remains one of Hollywood's true sweethearts and one of the real down to earth actresses.

I thought they made a great couple when Daredevil came out and there were a few rumors. I can't believe they actually made it together. I think the baby was unexpected on both their part and may have been a misstep in this relationship, but I do think they have a long future ahead of them.

Best wishes to all 3 of them!
