I'm still reeling from how great that episode was. Like Jesus Christ.
Zendaya, Storm Reid and the woman who plays their mom all should be in the Emmy conversation if not winners. I was about to bawl during the opening scene.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
Just finished episode 4. I'm not sure I've seen a more intense series. I feel like I'm on drugs watching it. And I kind of love it.
Zendaya was the breakout performance of Season 1 and she's still fantastic, but the breakouts so far this year are Sydney Sweeney and Eric Dane.
Edit: k nevermind, ten minutes in on episode 5. Zendaya's performance makes me extremely uncomfortable. In the best way.

Jesus Christ. Certain episodes of television stand out for how incredible they are, how they made you feel when you watched them. This is going to be one of them. An insane, intense hour.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
What they've done with Kat is embarassing. So sad, she was one of the best characters S1. Cassie's arc is embarassing as well but makes sense sadly.
The Maddy/Nate scene, yeesh.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
Yeah the rumors about the fallout between Barbie Ferreira and Sam Levinson are more believable with every episode. And it was already pretty fucking believable at the beginning of the season. He has run the character of Kat into the ground. He's trying to make her as unlikable as possible it seems. That breakup scene... Ethan deserves better. But the character of Kat deserves better than the treatment she's received this season.
Cassie has become annoying AF. I loved her in the first season.
Best line of the episode: "She needs a fucking exorcism."
It was about time Jules and Nate had a scene together this season. I like that he's trying to make things right with her and hopefully trying to be a better person. He's done so many awful things though that really can't be overlooked. This has to be the only scene of the series so far where I've liked him.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
It's difficult to feel bad for him. He might be trying to be a slightly better person but it still doesn't change the fact that he's done so much horrible shit.
Rue's reactions during that part in the play were hilarious.
I'm not really ready for the season to be over yet.

The preview makes it seem like Cassie will try to do some crazy shit at the end of the play and Maddy will finally get ro kick her ass.

Loving this season so far. All coming together beautifully.
I'm not sure how to process the behind the scenes stuff. It seems like certain people have a difficult time working on the show.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
Uneven season overall. The finale had some good moments but idk. I think the only characters to come out of this season pretty well developed are Rue and Lexi. Everyone else is either severely limited in screentime (Jules and Maddy, or in Kat's case no storyline) or death to character like Cassie (although Sydney Sweeney killed it, she's fantastic).
I am looking forward to what they do with S3. If we really have to wait another 2 years... yikes

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
Sam definitely ruined the character of Cassie. Loved her in Season 1. Can't stand the bitch now.
But yeah this season was very hit and miss. Not much even came of the stakes raised in episode 5. Not this season anyway. Maybe next. It was basically all downhill after that standout episode. Really wish this season could have been consistently great and entertaining like the first season. Still love the show though. I have to rewatch this season with a friend I watched the first season with and I'm not really looking forward to it. The first season I watched in its entirety 3 times no problem. This is kind of a one and done season outside of a couple episodes. Hope Sam Levinson and the crew get their shit together before the next season.

I loved the finale (except Elliot's song which was endless) and the season. Excited for where things go next year.

Yeah just when you'd think Elliot's song was over he'd keep going. It's not even a bad song but I didn't need to see him perform the whole thing.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
They really do need another writer or two to join Sam. Especially a female writer. Hunter Schafer helping write the Jules special is the best treatment that character has ever gotten. Helped us understand where she was coming from in Season 1 and redeemed her. Then Sam shit all over that with this season for the most part and made her unlikable again. I do want to love that character and Hunter is great on the show (especially in Season 1 when she had more to do) but Sam seemed determined to make characters like Jules, Kat and Cassie so awful this season. While trying to redeem an unredeemable character like Nate. There are so many better ways this season could have been handled. He had years to write it. I'm surprised he thought this was the way to go.
