Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
Disney has currently 2 untitled Marvel summer slots in 2020 - May 1st and August 7th...
Pretty sure one of those two spots will go to GOTG3...
What will GOTG3 do?

vol 1 > vol 2 > vol 3. I could see it drop below 300m.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
Vol 2. will do just about the same as Vol. 1 but $10m higher. Vol. 3 I believe will also follow the same path but land somewhere between the two.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
Vol 2 was weaker but still above iron man 2. You forget the avengers factor and part 3 did almost 50 million more opening.
Biggest of the series, and OS will be exciting to see

CW generated huge buzz for various reasons but couldn't expand its audience after OW, that won't be the case with GotG2.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
Yeah coming after the Guardians mixing it with the Avengers could help the third film do better than the other two, just like IM3.

Huh? This is a weird turnaround. Gunn should have told them to go fuck themselves.

Well, I have to say that I am pleased with this. They fucked up and eventually made it right--what else can you ask for?

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
Such an interesting turn of events, but I'm not entirely suprised considering how much backlash there was. It should cross $1B regardless though with the main characters getting more than enough screen time in both IW and EG.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
I think we'll see a downturn in all the MCU entries post-Endgame. There just won't be that epic on-going hook anymore. Kinda like The Hobbit after LOTR, FB after HP, etc.

This franchise has too much goodwill and forward momentum going for it right now.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
My goodness, what if GotG was a vehicle to introduce one of the FF villains (and therefore the FF). I’m so there.
Chris Evans’ Captain America could even transmorgrify into Human Torch and there would be no reason to recast from the original movies. :-)

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 predictions
People are excited to see Adam Warlock in this film but until I see a trailer, I think the fact that 2 had so much going for it and couldn't crack 400m, thinking this will do right around the second film's business. Maybe a little better due to inflation
