HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME thread
holy lord!
The concept is good, and the first half of the show is decent. NOthing like seeing some old performers perform their biggest hit.
But when it gets to the point where they have to sing a "current" song....GODD KILL ME NOW.
Im sorry, but hearing Vanilla Ice slaughter Survivor by Destiny's Child is absolutely the worst dream a child could have.

That doesn't sound too promising. I'm kind of glad I skipped this, and watched the MTV Movie Awards instead.

Geez, how many of these shows does Vanilla Ice have to be on before he realizes he has no chance at a comeback?

I saw the first half of the first episode and would have watched last night if I weren't busy, but I think it seems good. I like that they're older bands from the 80's and stuff, bands I actually know. I love 80's music! So I'm glad this is a hit because I'd watch this before I'd be caught dead watching American Idol or some other crap like that.

I only watch it because of the first half - EIGHTIES SONGS!!!! WOOT!!!
Then it falls apart the second half... horrendous arrangements on the current top 40 songs...
But I like it, I guess... Irene Cara was on tonight!!! Love her... and she won...
It's kinds sad that next week, The Baha Men are there, which is proof how quickly they have become a has-been!

You will pay!
Tonight's first half was great as usual. Then the second half fell once again. Im sorry, but seeing 2 white guys strumming their guitars and singing "Hot in Herre" is absolutely horrendous!
Irene Cara was amazing tonight.
hmm, could this get a sticky if I change the name?

I wonder if Britney or her record company were paid anything for them using one of her song names for the title..
Anyways, my brother and his wife had the Vanilla Ice episode on Tivo (Which I'm getting for my birthday, yay!), and Jesus, that was hilarious. But he sings his song differently now, he sounds more like Limp Bizkit (I have no idea if I spelled that right) than he does like he did when he first had the song back in the 90's. Still funny as hell, though.
