BTW they got rid of Monica Potter and Rhona Mitra but added Julie Bowen to the show. It seems like they are only keeping the elderly cast

I have no idea why this failed to hold most of Desperate Housewives' audience, as it's much better than Grey's Anatomy, which had no problems. Maybe it was just the demographic. I think Boston Legal is the best show of any that I watch, and the upcoming episode with Heather (I've lusted after her for 20 years) Locklear looks hysterical, and it'll be a hoot seeing her paired with her old T.J. Hooker pal. Adrian Zmed should be so lucky.

I gave up on this show. It has reinvented itself more times than Madonna.

It's damned uneven, but there's enough laughs and other assorted goodies to keep me watching. Gotta love that cast, too. Julie Bowen only makes it better.

Could it be because of the dissappearance of a certain Tomb Raider model girl?

I liked her, and I also liked the other two girls, especially Monica, so I'm a bit pissed about that. Julie Bowen is a good addition, but there was nothing wrong with Monica Potter being a part of the cast. I seriously doubt that people weren't watching because of anything to do with her. I can understand Rhona Mitra's exit, since she was Spader's girlfriend on the show, and they probably want to play up his sexual harrassment antics a bit more for comic effect.

Potter was pregnant with her third child which is why she dropped off the show I believe. But dang to look that young and have two children who are already 11-13

Partly yes, I confess to finding her cute. But also the shifting of emphasis off of that other couple of young lawyers, Valley and Potter, and onto Betty White and Candice Bergen. It went from a show about 30 something lawyers to feeling like another Love Boat, Fantasy Island type senior oriented show.

I thought it was all right. Spader's still great. And I thought Shatner was actually funny this episode.
But the Julie Bowen storyline was just awful. The romance between her and the young what's-his-face came off as incredibly odd, and I don't see her playing as well off the rest of the cast as, say, Monica Potter, whom I actually thought was pretty good by the end of last season.
Meh.

I love Monica Potter, and was said to see her go. Rhona is still there, but it's obvious she's about to take off with that other guy. Shatner was hysterical as always, and Spader is definitely the guy I'd want defending me in a murder trial. Julie Bowen will take some getting used to. Her character is a bit weird.

I like it but I liked it alittle more when Spader was a wild rebel.
Anyway, I think the problem with Boston Legal is that alot of people liked previous years better either as The Practice / Boston Legal. It is kindof like ER being on the air for 10 years. And then even with only Boston Legal, the show casting / feeling is even so much different than BL Year 1.

it's an Ally McBeal for guys. I love this show too. Second best after Desperate Housewives. Shatner cracks me up.
I was on the floor every time he went through the press with Heather Locklear into the courtroom and he would mumble some crazy shit. lol

Sort of.
Only All McBeal's writing was about 10 times better (when it was good).
Tonight's episode was a little better than last week's. I could still do without the Julie Bowen trio, though.
And I still miss Monica Potter.

WOW! Did Heather wear a truck load of makeup or is my tv fucked up. She looked like Joan Rivers in that elevator scene at the end.

I miss Monica Potter, too. I don't understand why more people here don't see what won Spader and Shatner their emmy's. They are the best duo on TV, and I laugh just looking at Shatner.
Serve that up on Easter Sunday!

It's not that I don't think they're deserving, it's just that the material written for them in the final season of The Practice was so much better than Boston Legal.
And Shatner was going up against Jeffrey Tambor, and AD > everything else.

Tambor? Shatner? I don't think so. You mean Shatner was going up against Terry O'Quinn. Right? RIGHT?!
