A 40 Million weekend opening and 80 Million domestically making it better than the last 2 ALIEN movies.. Don't knock it.. A $40 million weekend is excellent, no matter what. The $80 million total is also quite good. The legs were not. That's just the rush factor, not necessarily bad WOM. Lemony Snicket's will make more, yes. $40 million more, infact. But, that doesn't excuse the fact that it did infact drop 58% in it's second weekend, which was not only Christmas weekend, but it's a time when kids movies should have very low drops of small increases. Both are successes, so I have no idea why you guys are fighting. If it's about quality of the movie, and you know it is, then give it a rest. BKB can love AVP, and you guys can love Lemony Snickets.
