I am in particular amazed about National Treasure's increase. The Polar Express is doing well too, considering that Christmas is over. Both movies will hit $165 million, I think.

Meet the Fockers has just a flabbergasting run so far. It might hit $200 million as soon as next weekend. I did some calculations and it looks like Meet the Fockers has a good chance to end up with $270+ million in total. Incredible. I am certain, there will be another sequel now...

Your flabbergasted?? :? I'm flabbergasted at how moviegoers continued to pump $$$ into Lemony Snicket for the mere sake of feeling compelled to do so cause it was a holiday... The movie was a piece of shit and in no way "Laugh out loud funny" like the commercials say it was.. :?

Lemony Snickets was much better than any of the Star Wars prequels that you rave about all the time.

And just for the record its doing much better than AVP did in its entire run.

haha :D nice one

If Lemony Snicket is doing so good, then how come it bottomed out at a loss of 58% of it's audience in it's 2nd week??? Stick a fork in this movie, it's done and if Jim Carrey were smart, he'd dump his agent for putting him in this movie as well as "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".. As for AVP??? A 40 Million weekend opening and 80 Million domestically making it better than the last 2 ALIEN movies.. Don't knock it.. That movie is going to do very well on DVD I have a feeling and gain a new audience too afraid to say they liked it in the beginning for fear of internet fanboys bashing them over it cause it didn't have the Cast of the O.C and wasn't Directed by an Uber Cool fanboy director like Cameron or Scott..

You are such an idiot man. I bet you didn't even see Lemony Snickets. And I'm sorry to say, but a $40 million opening weekend, with a total of only $80 million is quite mediocre. And AVP dropped 67% its second week, and 60% its third. Lemony's run will be much more impressive.

A 40 Million opening stupid that none of the other ALIEN or PREDATOR films could muster up on their opening weekends is actually very impressive and proves there's an audience for this unlike Lemony Snicket that now has a DVD release date in sight now that the holidays are over and a 58% drop for it as well.. Sorry, but the movie sucked and the only reason it's made what it has up til now is because moviegoers are stupid and feel compelled to see crap like this because it's the holiday..

It was nowhere near as terrible as that train wreck AVP that you rave so much about that's for damn sure.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with pink on this one. Besides the fact that AVP was a horrible addition to the franchise, it bottomed out at 80 million. Lemony will make more...trust me

Another thing that really pisses me off is BKB says people are compelled to see Lemony Snickets because its the holiday season. But what is AVP pure gold? I don't fucking think so! That movie is so terrible. I couldn't believe that shitfest even got made. It put both franchises to shame, and made them look like a complete joke.

Uh, yeah right.. It put both franchises to shame that FOX has already greenlit AVP II and PREDATOR III for a 2006 or 2007 release... Not bad for a movie that supposedly ruined 2 franchises, huh sherlock??

Considering that the majority of people had AVP predicted at $40-60 million TOTAL, I think it's quite a success. A $40 million weekend is excellent, no matter what. The $80 million total is also quite good. The legs were not. That's just the rush factor, not necessarily bad WOM. Lemony Snicket's will make more, yes. $40 million more, infact. But, that doesn't excuse the fact that it did infact drop 58% in it's second weekend, which was not only Christmas weekend, but it's a time when kids movies should have very low drops of small increases. Both are successes, so I have no idea why you guys are fighting. If it's about quality of the movie, and you know it is, then give it a rest. BKB can love AVP, and you guys can love Lemony Snickets.
