Harry Potter 4 takes home the box office crown with a gross of 350+

I think it has an outside shot at 400.

All will depend on reviews, WOM and trailers/advertising.

I'm gonna agree to that. 375 million looks about right, all depending on reviews and WOM, of course.

It might not happen. I mean, $350 million for War of the Worlds is a little high. The highest a movie like War of the Worlds has ever made was $306 million for Independence Day, and that was a whole different time.

Willy Wonka will not pass $125 million and will struggle for $100 million.

Fantastic Four will not make it past $100 million.

Kingdom of Heaven will open to roughly $35 million, but go on and get a mutliplyer of over 4.

The Hitchhiker's Guide ot the Galaxy will be the fifth highest grossing movie of the summer (May-Labor Day movies).

Mr. and Mrs. Smith will gross more than $100 million.

Doom will set a record for highest August openings, but fail to pass $160 million.

Deuce Bigalo will open to less than $10 million and finish with less than $15.

Chicken Little will open to under $40 million but gross $125+.

Harry Potter will have the biggest three day opening of the year (discounting Star Wars, since it's technically not a three-day opener) with over $90 million and a gross over $300 million. Number 2 of the year.

All the Kings Men will open wide in late December and continue to gross more than $75 million.

Howl's Moving Castle will be released in Juneish, and make at least $30 million.

Star Wars will dominate the summer with $350+ million.

XxX will have Man on Fire type numbers, but better. Good enough to push it passed $100 million.

Ok, this is the big one I have to disagree with. The first one was a HUGE seller on DVD/video, and this is Sony marketing it, not Paramount or MGM. I'm expecting over 20 million opening weekend, and if the ads are really good, it could do nearly 30.

Agreed. This should be pretty big considering the success of the first.

Well, if it had Man on Fire type numbers, wouldn't that be suggesting some great legs? Especially since Man on Fire opening to like $23 million, so it would need over a 4x multiplier to get to $100 million.

I find it hard to believe that will actually happen. The Grudge made over $110 million, so I don't see why The Ring 2 won't. Though, it's your gutsy prediction, so we shall see.

My bold predictions!!

1. 2005 will be a better year for movies in general
2. 2005 will be a much worse year for comedies than 2004.
3. BKB will be dissapointed with Episode 3, and I will aboslutely love it.

I hold ya to the 3rd option here.. That may very well be true regardless of how cool the pics and everything have been lately and the same thing also applies to BATMAN BEGINS.. I will treat this no different than the last 2 which both of them had their +'s and -'s to them and in my book, will never be better than the Old Trilogy that I grew up on, but nevertheless, after seeing the trailer again, I'm still excited for the final Star Wars, YES.. I can't see how anyone really couldn't be based off that last trailer with "The Incredibles"...

That trailer with the incredibles was really really good. In my opinion, of course, but since it is the opinion I trust the most, I'll go with that. Really raised my anticipation.

Yeah, it was very good and maybe just thinking about it, Lucas could make it even better and make the film a silent film with no dialogue and just straight action??? Hell, if theirs no dialogue, then that's just 1 last thing moviegoers and fans can cross off there list for when it comes time to begin complaining about the movie.. Hell I predict that no matter how cool this last one will be, fans are still gonna butcher it in the internet world when it comes out cause it didn't go down the way they envisioned it to compared to George.. Count on it..
