Interestingly, The Polar Express is the only movie to have a higher New Year's Eve gross than Christmas Day gross. This film just will not die out. Expect it to continue to do well this weekend.
Great for The Phantom of the Opera! After a disappointing 10th place finish last weekend, I thought it was going to drop out of the top ten this week. But it only looks to keep on ascending the top ten in coming weeks.

So far I love this movie. Although they killed my favorite actress (Drew Barrymore).

Fockers is owning Incredibles in Australia, i as yet haven't seen it (probably this Tuesday).....MTF will be no slouch at the International Box-Office.......and unlike Ocean's 12, this should surpass the original both domestic and overseas....

I wonder if Meet the Fockers can pass $450 million worldwide
@BJ
Why the heck would Lemony Snicket's increase 70% tomorrow, even though back in 1999 the family movies increased only by 30-50% on Saturday and that DESPITE bigger Friday drops.

For the sake of good filmmaking I hope LS performs like you suggest. I expect a much more moderate increase for a weekend total of $15 million.

Meet the Parents did $330,444,045 with $166,244,045 Domestic and a surprising $164,200,000 overseas...
Things should be different this time around with a higher exchange rate and growing markets overseas.....
I'm predicting the following:
Dom - $210m
Intl - $250m
World = $460m

I so predicted this.
I called 240 for MTF ... now if only I could find the thread I did it in I would bump it to feel better about myself.

Incredible for this movie, especially considering that O12 probably won't even hit $400 million worldwide.

Acualy it probably will Lecter :wink:
Lemony Snicket Increased 53% last saturday than another 27% on sunday. The fact that it increased that much on saturday should be reason enough Lecter. In 99 no kids film increased more than 30% on saturday, infact they had large sunday increases. This film is performing more like Bicentennial Man and Galaxy Quest so I asumed that over the wknd it would perform more like they did. Is there something wrong with that :?:

I'll back you up on this.
Hey everybody, Eagle predicted $240m for MTF before it looked certain to cross that mark.
Now watch it plunge 90% next weekend

February is a great time to release a movie, the European and Asian markets especially.....Fockers will be the standout movie early 2005....and unlike 2001, it won't have a Miss Congeniality (MC2 = bomb) or Hannibal to compete against.....
