Well, BOM had estimated it to be $6.14 all the time, but it turns out it was $6.25.

So...

all admissions figures for 2004 are automatically reduced.

The adjusted all-time has changed as well (obviously).

Just thought I'd tell you.

For me, it means going back over thousands of data pieces and changing them

I paid $10.5 (American, I'm converting it) for ROTK, and $7-8 for SM2 in Chicago...

I wish the $10.5 went to Sm2, lol.

At my theater it was $6.50 for shows at night, $4.50 for matinees. They just upped matinees to $5, and night shows to $7.

Whoops, nevermind, I just remembered the $6.25 is American. What is $6.25 American in Canadian dollars? Anybody good at the conversion?

PEACE, Mike ;)

Hm, $9.75 is around $7.8, so yours is still above the average, as it is here in Toronto.

Some theatres have outrageous prices; I've seen a $12 (Canadian) one, which is ridiculous.

I think the $6.25 takes into consideration discounts, $1 theatres, child admissions, etc., else it would be $7 for sure.

Some theatres here are 25+ a ticket. But they have love-seat seating for couples and serve alcohol throughout (overpriced, too).

Boohoo, hehe. When I went to London 2 years ago, they charged 10 pounds for a show at night. That is over 21 US-$.

Ya, I mean, you can just buy a DVD for the price of 2 tickets. Say there's a film you really like, insteado f wtaching it 3 times at a theatre and paying more, just buy the DVD and watch it as many times as humanly possible.

Something like SM2, you know...

No wonder attendance is down. Prices are really getting to be ridiculous...

Well in toronto, almost every movie theatre is 13.50. Unless if you go before 6pm or on a tuesday. Or if you go to like Raimbow cinemas.. but my home tv is larger than those screens.

Too expensive.. I remember when i only paid 4.50 as a kid :( Memories.

rainbow cinemas are pathetic. I hate watching a movie there. But it is cheap for a ticket so it's understandable I guess. I'd much rather spend double that to go to the better theater though.

Yeah that's my problem too. I only went once to their theatres at Woodbine mall. And had i known the size of the theatre i wouldn't have gone. But it was cheap though.

Is that an adult ticket or student ticket? Because that's a great deal if it's an adult ticket.
