All the limited releases for this week will open today, December 29th, except for Sky Blue. Both Beyond the Sea and The Woodsman are expanding today as well.

Is today the last day to be able to get nominated for the Oscar? Like if your movie dosen't open today it won't be considered!

Okay, I updated the original post.

Glad to see Finding Neverland finally hitting 1,000 theatres. At least Sideways didn't lose theatres. I am surprised that The Aviator and The Phantom of the Opera didn't gain any, though. The biggest loss is 310 theatres (Christmas with the Kranks). The lack of wide openers wil really help all the holdovers.

That's consistent with FilmJerk's early report, which is 2000+.

Kinsey will expand to 500+ theatres next weekend. I wonder if that expansion will help the film any at this point :?

Great to see Finding Neverland expanding again. Hopefully it can continue to do well at the box office.
