I don't pretend to know Bond inside out, i don't, but that doesn't disqualify my opinion about it. I don't need to watch every Bond 10 times to know that i'm not particularly impressed with the franchise, or in other words, even if you'd lend me your super geeky Bond collection and i'd watch the whole lot 10 times in a row to the point where i would be able to recite every Bond one-liner, it still wouldn't change my gripes i'm having about it. _________________

Wow, if the reviews for this and Happy Feet don't become significantly worse, this is looking to be a TERRIFIC weekend at the movies, for us box office fans and for people who want to see a blockbuster reallly deliver.

Actually I was listening to the radio this morning and theere were some radio personalities that had seen a screening for this and they said they didn't buy Craig as BOND because of the Blond hair, but that this movie would sell cause women think he's sexy.. I really hope this movie sells on it's own merit as a good story and NOT on this guy appealing to women to sell it..

The two reviews I'm waiting for are James Berardinelli (Who tore a new one into Die Another Day) and Roger Ebert, if he does get around to doing this - especially Ebert. Although he has liked the last five Bond films (Especially LTK and TWINE) he seemed to kind of take pity on them. Also in his review of DAD I believe he said that he finally got used to seeing Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Since he was used to him, I wonder what he'll think of Craig.

I don't believe that review is on Rotten Tomatoes yet, but if it is I just missed it. One new review was added and it was another positive one. That makes 20/21 positive and a 95% rating. The unoffical rating is at 89%. One review I am ignoring off of that list is the one by About.com's Jurgen Fauth. I respect his opinion, but a 90 minute James Bond film about the beginning of Bond? No director could've pulled that off, so that's an unfair criticism, not to mention that all the Bond films have been anywhere from 110 to 140 minutes long.
I'm still trying not to get too excited over the rating since it is afterall a Bond film, but if it's in the '80s by Thursday night, I'll be estatic.[/font] _________________My DVD Collection

80 now with 10 reviews at metacritic. 100 from EW, 90 from Village Voice of all people, and 88 from Peter Travers.

Wooow, I thought that the early reviews might be flukes but this really IS heading for an amazing score. And with it's reviews VERY similar to Minority Report (94% to 92%) and Happy Feet's VERY similar to Lilo and Stitch's (85% vs. 84%), this weekend is starting to look more and more like that exciting weekend in June.
