Congratulations, you just entered the top 5 of sentences stating the blatantly obvious.

Again, you seem to excuse "certain" franchise, and berate other franchise for the same thing.

If you are unable to differentiate between "certain" franchise and this... well, that's not my problem.

Let me put it to you in a way that even a complete moron would understand.

You constantly make your snide little comments, showing a complete ignorance for the Bond series, and using cliched critiques that fit in with the Bond franchise just as much as they do with Peter the Precious films. You're obviously doing it to start shit, as the moderate here told you to stop because it was blatantly obvious.

So don't go see it. I'm betting Bond films are too smart for you anyway.

You are obviously throwing a hissy fit since i dared to say something negatively about your precious franchise. It's you who jumped all over me and started posting stupid remarks to my posts. Learn to live with the fact that not everyone loves what you love, it'll make life easier.

Actually, and your comprehension above confirms it, I was merely pointing out that you're dumb. Read it again and try to sound out the big words that are giving you trouble.

Dumb for not worshiping Bond? Dumb for pointing out things i don't like, or more precisely, that don't work for me? Okaaay...

EDIT:
As for the part about cliched critiques, again, that's how you see it, i happen to disagree.

If I have to explain what dumb means to you, you're dumber than I thought.

Another instance of "Hulk" Mav losing his temper. Oh, well, some things never change...

I'd ask you if you had some better to do, like go buy the King Kong extended edition DVD that Peter Jackson is milking (since it didn't do enough box office...), but I'm sure you camped out so you'd be first in line to have that little treasure.

Uh...I don't think the 44 year old franchise is waiting on YOUR seal of approval...

My 2 cents:

I think this little disagreement started with the above comments and escalated from there. We all know that Mav is a die hard Bond fan and it seems he may have taken Nazgul9 comment a bit seriously... Bond has always been the ultimate spy. A superhero of spies so to speak. He gets the most beautiful women. He's always had the good looks. He has the nicest cars (rockets and oil slicks included). He's the perfect man who almost never makes a mistake. He is fantasy. There is nothing and no one on this earth like him. Thats what makes the whole series fun and entertaining...The twist...And this is where I believe Nazgul9 is coming from. For the first time. This new Bond seems real. He seem plausible however unlikely. There actually could be someone like this. I'm taking it that Nazgul9 never got into the 'Bond' films. He wants them more serious. He's hoping this one is. Its seems from the reviews he'll get what he wants...

I think with the success of movies such as The Bourne Identity/Supremacy the Bond films might very well have needed a change. CR seems to me also,,,,,,,, a little more real. Its different, and it looks good.

Now you two go back to your corners... ding, ding!!!!!

Thanks for painfully reminding me that i have to wait another two weeks till the DVD comes out here while you US boys and galls can already enjoy the longer cut of one of the best movies from last year (which did more box office than a Bond ever will, just btw).

No, this is an ongoing thing with Nazgul. He's been trying to extract revenge against me for daring to speak against Peter "the precious" Jackson. If there's a George Lucas thread, he's sure to troll it. His Bond comments was all about trolling, as MovieDude was quick to pick up on. This is something that he's done for years now, so I was just giving him what he wanted.

No, no, no, that's what your twisted little mind thinks is happening here. If i'd to extract revenge against everyone who said something ill of my precious Jackson i would troll a lot more, believe me. But i have to confess, sometimed i get a kick out of teasing you a little bit, since you are so easily swayed.

No, I believe you are quite ignorant about James Bond, as your comments show, so it's obvious that you haven't watched the movies enough to even know what you're talking about, but wanted to troll this thread anyway.

Because of having different preferences i'm being accused of being ignorant?!

Really, no comment...

Oh, you're educated on Bond films and I'm mistaken? If I start asking you questions about the films, could you answer them? Easy questions that anybody who wasn't ignorant above the films would know. Just give the word, and we'll find out how wrong I am, and that's it's just a difference of opinion, because you know the films well.

It seems so. Even Ian Fleming didn't take his own hero seriously, he said in interviews that he saw Bond as simply a male fantasy figure. Which is not to say which type of Bond is better, but he wasn't intended to be taken very seriously before, and now it seems like he is.

Im giving your new avatar a big

It's a very unflattering picture of that certain actress.

Anyway, Casino Royale looks very good. I like the more serious tone it seems to be taking. 50% less sexual innuendoes maybe?? Maybe it's because I have only seen Tomorrow Never Dies once or twice, but that's what made that my favorite of the Brosnan Bond movies, cause it's tone was a bit darker. (again, as far as I remember. I could be completely wrong. Hmm... maybe I should rent it again.)

*lol* Funny things i read here...

I don't pretend to know Bond inside out, i don't, but that doesn't disqualify my opinion about it. I don't need to watch every Bond 10 times to know that i'm not particularly impressed with the franchise, or in other words, even if you'd lend me your super geeky Bond collection and i'd watch the whole lot 10 times in a row to the point where i would be able to recite every Bond one-liner, it still wouldn't change my gripes i'm having about it.

Wow, if the reviews for this and Happy Feet don't become significantly worse, this is looking to be a TERRIFIC weekend at the movies, for us box office fans and for people who want to see a blockbuster reallly deliver.
