After the Christmas/New Year Holiday is over, the intial shock will set in on moviegoers after they relized how much $$$ they dumped into Meet The Fockers along with Lemony Snicket and how foolish they felt for doing so....

Probably right. Didn't have near as bad a drop as I expected.

The New Year's Holiday weekend should soften the drop somewhat. The movie doesn't appear to be as front-loaded as I would have imagined, so 30% seems about right.

I would say that even would out it wouldn't drop very much. It had great holds throughout the 5-days.

It was one of the few films to drop on Sunday though, albeit by only 5%.

With an estimated $44.7 million for the weekend, it came down to decimal points for accuracy on predictions. Perhaps the actuals will be slightly different.

The actuals will probably change a lot but I still think it will be a much better success than I ever thought.

After thinking about it, I'm going with 238m. I would think 190m is a lock, and 285m is the upper limit of what I believe it can do.

Can't wait to see this. Problem is, I've yet to see Meet the Parents. Every time I try to buy the DVD, they are sold out. I decided I will go to as many stores as necessary to purchase it today, and hopefully go see Meet the Fockers sometime next week.
