I'm glad this show is getting the ratings it deserves (something I didn't expect to happen).
Yeah, the metal...thingy didn't really work for me as a cliffhanger, and no episodes till January (!) makes me a little mad...
But Alias will more than make up for that.

Well, the repeats have started.
I'm assuming from what I have read and heard, they are going to repeat the entire series until the latest episode before airing new one....
My friend very much wanted to see it from the beginning. She had never seen a single episode. She watched the first two hours yesterday and can't stop talking about!
So, it's great to see some new interest. Hopefully the ratings won't dip too much. It would be great if it maintains 10+ million viewers for all the repeats!

Good. I don't know why, but I thought a new episode was on this week. It sucks that we have to wait nearly a month. It's been a LONG time since I actually hated seeing a break between new episodes of a series.

It'd be pretty dumb of ABC if they brought back Alias but no new Lost episodes as its lead-in.
Have they learned their lesson yet?

Interesting, but I don't get abc's train of thought with this....
After airing episodes 1 and 2 last week....
they will be airing episodes 4 and 5 this week...
and airing episodes 7 and 8 next week, followed by new episodes!
That is a weird schedule and build up back to where they left off, but anyway.... glad they're brining it back sooner than I prevously thought!

Heh makes me wonder what happened in episodes 3 and 6 that they are leaving off.
Where's Wertham with his X-files mindset when you need him.

Episode 3 was Kate's backstory and the marshal that was escorting Kate on the plane. Towards the end the Marshal was dying but it would still be a few hours and his moaning was bothering everyone so Sawyer shot him, but didn't kill him. finally, Jack put him out of his misery!
and episode 6 was the backstory on the Asian couple. Ibelieve it's when charlie hands his drugs over to Locke for his guitar and in the end of the episode, the survivors separate into two camps.

Hmm in the coming attractions at the end of this last week's two hour rerun, they showed next week's episode as being about Kate and the Marshal so maybe they are showing episode 3 after all.

Ya, that's why everyone thought they might be repeating the entire thing.
But since then, abc and Tv-guide have listed otherwise, skipping Kate's episode and next week, skipping the Asian couple's story.
In other words, the skipping trend is the latest info and they could have changed alot after that preview aired.

 You gotta be kidding me!
February?! Oh man! This is one of my new favorite shows, I can't get enough of it. Right now my favorite character has got to be Locke, that revelation about his legs in Episode 4 was one of the most powerful moments of TV I've ever seen. I'm also definitely hoping to see the backstory behind the dad (I immediately recognized him as Link from those Matrix sequels) and mayhaps his son too.

Actually it isn't Feb, there are new ones on Jan 5, 12, & 19. Then repeats on Jan 26 and Feb 2. I would guess that there are new ones Feb 9, 16, & 23 due to sweeps.

Me too, Dude! Locke is great, and that episode was really something else.

I missed that episode? What's up with his legs? I might not catch it in rerun so I'd rather know now.

In an earlier episode, the usual background via flashbacks was given for Locke, and it was revealed that prior to the crash, he was wheel chair-bound. His motives for venturing to Australia I don't really remember...something about a big...nature expedition thingy, but he is sent away (followed by lots of screaming "don't TELL me what I can't do!!!"). After the crash, however, Locke is on the ground, staring at his feet, and stands up. You probably remember one of the moments in an earlier episode where Locke keeps staring at his legs as if they'll give out on him.
That's all.

Woah! I just saw The Grudge again tonight, and William Mapother (Ethan), got killed by the ghosts! He played Matthew, the husband. Sure, I guess you could say a lot of the Lost cast has been in movies, but just considering Ethans.... well, character, hehe, I thought it was really funny seeing him scream in fear and be killed by that little Japanese ghost kid...

Don't forget his biggest claim to fame: being Tom Cruise's cousin.

I think it's safe to say that they don't share quite as successful careers.
