Are there more than 5 girls here?
I tend to notice such things.
Can somebody give me a head count? I count Ripper, dolcevita, Libs, Appy, mary, Erendis and a few others with too few posts to recognize as actual members.
I don't ask this because I want some members that I can drool over and crush on , because the above ladies give me plenty of reasons for doing that already, but I've found that forums with female members being an active part of things, are always much smarter and much more pleasant to be a big part of. They make the conversations all the better, because you get that gender perspective, which spices things up a bit more, and broadens the conversations, for lack of a better term. Am I the only one who feels that way, or do the rest of you guys feel that having good female members, and as many as possible, is a great thing for a forum community?

I know what you mean, it's always like that when women join in. Male only environments get pretty stale.

Unfortunately I find that at forums with high number sof females members (for example RT), so many of the girls there are extrmem attention whores.
But i have to agree it is nice to have a female perspective to counterbalance what is typically an all male enviroment.
The internet is overwhelming populated by white males, with decent/high SAT scores. I like diversity in psoters in general, it makes things way more interesting.

You could split into two usernames Dolce and Vita.

Any activity at all is fine where you girls are concerned. Like Archie said, it can get stale if the atmosphere is one of a boy's club. It makes us do things that we wouldn't if the female presence was more prominent, and reminded us that we need to behave so we can try to impress them with our good manners at all times.
I actually sent out an invite to one of the BOM females a bit ago, and I noticed that Lady Eowyn posted at BOM recently, and I'm always up for begging her when an opportunity presents itself. There may be a few others I could ask, but that whole banning thing kinda gets in the way sometimes...

Just to clairify my stance on this, I have absolutely no problems with female attention whores. I find it very sporting sometimes.
(and I would never give them more attention than somebody I found to be smart, just because they wanted me to. Smart girls are a weakness of mine, as you'll probably can tell, not the girls that need some kind of attention fix from a bunch of internet geeks. )

It's not the quantity, but the quality. With Libs, Ripper, Dolce and the others, it is a very interesting place here.

haha, somehow I didn't think you'd mine
Ion't mind there attention whoring as long they occasionally string together a complete sentence. But I definitely gte tired of the legions of girls we have at RT, we sole posts include "here is me five minutes ago" "here is me with glases" "here is me groggy", etc.
Geeks are a weakness of mine as well, so I understand. I've only ever dated one non geek...

I saw here post there too, and I was thinking to myself "Why is Lady E still posting at BOM. Why haven't Maverikk recruited her former girlfriend to there or Movie-fever"
You know, you still haven't told us what she looks like when the two of us decided to take the next step and meet in person. What happened?
