All-star ''Big Brother'': It's on! The CBS reality show will welcome back past contestants -- selected by viewers -- for this summer's season 7 by Lynette Rice

Paging Dr. Kirby, Chicken George, and the faaaabulous Marcellas Reynolds! EW has learned that CBS will air an all-star version of Big Brother when it returns for a seventh season this summer. In the current issue of EW, we say who we'd like to see back in the hot tub this summer, but for the first time ever fans will get to choose who participates in the game from a pool of 20 former houseguests (BB6's Kaysar Ridha, stay by your phone!). CBS has yet to announce how or when voting will occur.

So far, the basic rules will remain unchanged for the all-star version: One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house and at the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive $500,000. And yes, Julie Chen will return as host.

Well I'm excited but a bit nervous considering how sucky Survivor All-Stars was. I can't wait to see who's in the pool of 20, it should start to narrow down in the near future as fansites get in touch with certain contestants and etc.

I'm hoping that these folks are cast - Janelle, Kaysar, James, Nakomis, Diane, Will (BB5), Jun, Jack, Amy, Danielle, Dr. Will, Nicole, Brittany (not sure if BB1 folks are being considered). I'm afraid some of them aren't even going to consider it though.

Kaysar for sure, and Dr. Will.

Most of the famous people from BB seem to turn up on other shows (Battle of Reality TV Stars, Surreal Life).

If the BB6 trio is there (Kaysar, Janelle, Howie), I'll be cool. It's a little soon for All-Stars, but oh well.

They need the legendary great people like Evil Dr. Will, Kaysar, Janelle, Danielle, but also the hilariously awful, hateable people like Alison, Ivette and Kiki in there.

I think a lot of people from BB3 will be there, as well as Kaysar, Janelle and Howie.

Well, looks like I'll be fighting the rest of the human race again this summer as I express my hatred for America's favorite bimbo! As Monica from BB2 said (*crosses fingers for her btw*) "It's oooooooonnnn!"

Hmm, maybe Berman will join me.

I'd like to see Alison come back, but only on the condition that she humiliates herself like she did on the Amazing Race!

According to Zap2it.com, the fans will be voting on who gets to go back into the house. Fans will choose 12 people to go back for another round of Big Brother out of 20 previously chosen contestants. Basically, CBS gives us 20 popular picks, and we narrow it to 12. Not bad. I hope my BB6 Trio is in the running.

No word on who the 20 possibilities are, or when we'll know. I say we won't find out who the 12 are until the first night. Probably a little surprise for viewers.

Yeah...I really liked Brittany from BB1!!

thats cool!.... but when i read the title i though it was going to be D-list celebrities.

the mexican version of the show did 3 with celebrities, the first two were pretty succeful but the third one just failed horribly and then they did one with regular people and flopped even worse, so they canceled it, and no more Big Brother for us!!

I'm on the fence on this one. I like the whole 12 strangers in a house aspect. I don't know how well BB All Stars will work. However, as long as Dr. Will and Janelle are in there, I'll be happy.

I hope they bring back Danielle from BB3. I think she's, like, the best BB player ever

Even if they offer, she won't go. She's said numerous times on the realitybbq forums that she would never go back into the house. Same for Amy.

That's strange, considering she said many times on the show that she was doing this for her family. You'd think if they gave her a second chance to win some more money, she'd do it again for them. Anyway, I'm sure she has her reasons. It's too bad though

I would leave out Howie myself (Janelle/Kaysar/Howie are so going to be immediately targeted if all three get in), Scott is a bit iffy and obviously Beau shouldn't be here (one of the dullest houseguests ever, why is he even being considered?) but all in all a good start.

I agree, I thought she was one of the best players in BB history, and she did whatever she had to in order to get to the end and she wasn't shy about it either. I would have loved to see her in the house, but maybe it's for the best. Even though I want players like Danny and Dr. Will and even James and Janelle in there, I think it would be kind of useless because they would more than likely be the first ones targeted because people know how strong they are. That's the reason a BB All Stars is a little iffy for me.


Also, with what haerpinot said about people from BB1 being in the game.. I think that's a bad idea, too. I haven't seen BB1, so I don't know much, but from what I do know, BB1 was completely different from all the rest of the seasons. I've heard peopl complain that it was more than a popularity contest than anyone else, and I think putting people from that season in would be too hard on them to adjust to all the old rules. Not only that, a lot of people from BB2-6 know each other now that they're off the show and I think the BB1 people might be a bit left out in the house.

BBUS fan site Reality BBQ has posted a copy of the apparent BB6 logo. Spamgirl (the site owner) has said that the logo hides a secret apparently confirmed by CBS. Some fans have been speculating that the blue background could resemble to conjoining houses. There is also much speculation that the 4 repeating palm image could also be a clue. Other theories include a semetrical house with four quadrents and they may have to slove clues to gain acess to additional parts of the house, or simply the house could be divided into 4 teams.

I never got the hype of the Howie/Janelle/Kaysar trio, it was a DUO that was interesting, and that was Kaysar and Janelle. Most of that group's mistakes can be blamed on Howie.

The premiere is set for July 6, also there will be a preview show on June 21st in which the 20 houseguests are unveiled.

Man, I caaaaaaaan't wait! I'm a huge Big Bro lover, and an All-Star season kicks all ass. And man, it looks to be a REAL all-star version, based on that website. A lot of good choices that have said yes or are likely.

Man, looking at that list brings back lots of bad memories from all the wackos. Not sure if I'll be able to stomac the season if most of them come back!

Also, LOL at all the Nerd Herders who had too much of a "bad BB experience" to come back into the game. Especially Ivette, who was quoted: "No. I'm not meant to play that game". AMEN TO THAT!!!
