I don't know if this is spoiler-ish or if you fans probably already know it...

Merrin Dungey will be back.

Are you basing that on the photo from the 100th episode party, or a reliable source? If she is coming back, i would suspect the 14th episode (as it is called "I See Dead People"). I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of "dead" characters resurfaced in that one.

I got it from TV Guide, Ask Ausiello, yesterday's update.

I haven't watched the episode yet and I have not looked at any spoilers. I don't even know what happened on the last 3 episodes I missed from December but in the previews for this 2 hour return I saw Merrin Dungey as well as Cooper (I think that's his name) so from what I can see, they are truly bringing the series full circle for the finale.

Actually, it's kind of annoying me now because it seems as though they had a planned end-game and won't get to flesh it out. Then again, these few episode stints may very well have been the only way they could have gotten all the stars to return so maybe their end-game would have never worked had they extended it to a 6th and 7th season.

THANK YOU guys for being kind with the spoilers. I swear this is the most frustrating day of my life.

I've gotten used to a really terrible internet connection and shitty service from BT and Vispa.
But it would have to wait until Alias returns to do this wouldn't it?

Fucker.

Pretty good episode. I won't say anything since I don't wanna spoil it, but there has been something bothering me about the show.

What is with the fascination with needles all the time? In practically every single episode they have a needle going into someone! Don't they know that I can't stand the sight of a needle poking through flesh? It kills me every time!

I never get the needle thing either. Always, in movies and tv, whenever someone is getting any kind of injection it is a close up shot every time. Why? We don't need to see the needle go in every single time someone gets a shot, but directors everywhere seem to have signed some kind of agreement where they must always show the needle enter the arm (or wherever).

Next week's Alias is going to be great. There's the guest stars, and there's the fact that Drew Goddard wrote it. One of the only big pros Lost has going for it next season is that Drew Goddard joins the writing cast. More former BtVS writers should join my favorite shows.

some facts:

The last two episodes of Alias rated 4th and 11th on the "All time best Alias episodes" at tv.com
The two hour return grew 1.3 million viewers over the course of the telecast.
It also marked the best ratings ABC has had in the 8-9pm Wednesday slot since December.
By the end of the show Alias had grown a total of 35% in 18-49s
18-49 viewership was the highest of the season.
Critics unanimously praised the return.
The return averaged 7.6m viewers.

Man who knew that 7.6m alias viewers would ever be a decent thing? I mean, in this TV climate, a show with those ratings is actually realistically in for a shot of a renewal. Which is bizarre. It might be Alias' lowest rated season, but people seem to agree its a return to form for the show

Yet, you weren't there. Is there another secret sky of geekyness much higher that you ain't telling me about!?

I would totally do this but i have to mail the thing to america and i doubt it will make it in time. Plus i'll get cut for all the flamboyant, frothy fans. They'll be like "who is the boring, devilishly handsome kid?!"

5 hours of Alias... almost exactly 5 hours!

I am exhausted ;)

I must say episodes 6, 7, and 8 of Season 5 were quite dull. The 9th episode really took off. I had no idea the last episode was left with a big cliffhanger.

This 2 hour return was easily better than the past 2 years of alias. I can't say more without giving something away to Michael!
Victor Garber kicks ASSSS!!!

They need to give Garner her damn emmy this year!
