WHOA, at Polar Express. Kids' movies don't usually rise that big on Tuesdays do they? This movie must be finding a wider audience

Damn straight. I think a lot of people were put off by Polar Express because they thought it was too childish, but I'll be damned if that wasn't one of the best kids movies I've seen in a long, long time. A true "everyone" movie, without it trying clever humor to appeal to adults.

TPE must have amazing WOm because it's run is starting to scare me.

The fact that it is now doubling The Incredibles dailies is horribly ironic. TPE was murdered by Incredibles early in its run, now it seems its the other way around. I really think TPE is hurting Increidbles dailies as badly as Shrek 2 hurt HP3

I think it will. The weekend after the first weekened in December usually gives very small drops.

No, it bounds to lose theaters for the first time with two wide releases. Blade: Trinity and Ocean's 12 will hit National Treasure hard, but all holdovers will be affected as well. I expect 25-30% drop for The Polar Express.

If it does that, it could get to 150+ mil.

How many theaters it will lose this week will be key. I still think the maximum drop for TPE for this week is 15-20%.

The Polar Express will lose atleast 300 theaters. It's been holding on for a while, and now, it's time to move the oldies out. It'll drop about 20-30% for the weekend. I agree that National Treasure will be hurt a bit this weekend. Probably a drop around 35-45% is expected, since it seems to be having *really* good legs and would have dropped like 30% with no Ocean's Twelve or Blade: Trinity.

TPE is doing great but unfortunately The Incredibles will make about twice as much as it in the end.

TPE is doing awsome, looks like it'll go passed 125mil, more like 140-50.

Until then, however, it will earn a whole lot. I think it might even finish with 140m.
