He is an image of splendour, of the Kings of Olde, undimmed...before the breaking of the world! That whole sequence is my favourite from TTT! The imagery, the music, the wording, the being torn between two world's! My heartstrings get tugged everytime I see that! I feel so bad for Arwen! I don't know if I could have made her choice! But, in saying that, she is the most selfless individual in the whole trilogy! She gives up all that she has ever known for love and hope.

The two flashforwards, Arwen's Fate and Arwen's Vision are two of the most brilliant sequences of the whole Trilogy......i literally cried in both the first time i saw them......

Yes...he was one of the orginal keeper's of The Three Rings until he passed his (Narya..the ring of fire) onto to Gandalf to be a Ringbearer instead! Ever wonder why Gandalf has that whole speech before the Balrog in Moria..."In am the servant of the Secret Fire...wielder of the Flame of Arnor...dark fire shall not avail you...Flame of Udon..."

Well you and I both know that to film every awesome event that occurred in the books or that allusions were made about would have taken PJ and good 10 to 15 hours for each film!

See you tomorrow! I'm dropping with my fatigue already...curses!

BTW, the Phantom gave me his Evenstar!!

I not only saw her, I got a hug from her! That was heaven! I wanted it to last forever!! I met her when we were filming for Helm's Deep! She was originally to be in that seen but then they changed the direction of Arwen back to be more on par with the books and less warrior-like! She was so lovely and sweet!!

I admire Hugo a lot too!! Awesome...awesome man!! :D

EMMY ROSSUM: What it takes to play Christine

http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/569/5 ... ?fromint=1

Image

November 30, 2004 - Warner Brothers has been working overtime to get The Phantom of the Opera in shape and ready for release in December. Andrew Lloyd Weber entrusted the theatrical adaptation of this, his most successful musical, to his friend, director Joel Schumacher. And Schumacher in turn entrusted seventeen-year-old Emmy Rossum to bring to life Christine, the girl who is the motivation for all the Phantom's mysterious and dastardly deeds.

Rossum, who has previously appeared in the Roland Emmerich actioner The Day After Tomorrow and the award-winning Clint Eastwood thriller Mystic River, was as nervous as could be at the prospect of performing such a role, but that wasn't due to a lack of experience. The New York City native spent many years in the chorus of the Metropolitan Opera, routinely participating in performances of such classics as La Boheme, Turandot, Pagliacci, Hansel and Gretel and Die Meistersinger von Nuremburg. "The preparation I had from the Metropolitan Opera was invaluable," says Rossum. "I couldn't have done it without the discipline that was instilled in me at the Met."

Rossum auditioned for the role of Christine immediately after completing work on The Day After Tomorrow. "We met on a Thursday, and Joel said 'Can you be in New York on Saturday for a screen test?' Then about a week later I went to sing for Andrew at his house, which was very nerve-wracking! I was warming up with the accompanist when Andrew walked into the room, sat down without introducing himself and said 'Shall we?'"

Cian and Arch (what's your actual name, if you don't mind my asking?), you own this thread

Anyway, I just learned that selected theatres in Germany will have The Phantom of the Opera sneaks on Sunday, December 12th. I will check it out if it's playing anywhere close! :D

BTW - I'm starting to see some little promotion for Phantom now before its release on December 26.......there's a small snippet of it in the VillageRoadshow trailer and some small pics in your cinema session times......

Nothing much, but still better than nothing.....
