This year many blockbusters got good reviews, so I think they will dominate KJ's awards even more this time because the big films should get some more votes from people who are into smaller films. I expect a lot of mentions to Sin City, Batman Begins, King Kong, Sith, War of the World, etc. Among smaller films, I could see people rally around Good Night, and Good Luck since it's getting a lot of A's, and potentially Match Point (like Closer last year). Also individual performance such as Hoffman is shoe-in here at KJ, even if it won't get to more people than it currently has, as 100% of those who have seen will have him in the ballot.

I;ve always said if you don;t like the nominations, look to you're won ballot, although ultimtaely any contest tends to favor popular or medicore over strange, quirky or obscure.
