PAM!!! PAM PAM PAM!

Heh, I just turned the tape on about 20 minutes ago, and started watching the fifth season premiere, and Pam from The Office was just on, Jenna Fischer! I had to post that.

Federico went on a date with her, but didn't really like her that much. "She was nice!", he said. She's so much more than just nice!

I checked IMDb.com and she's also in the next episode. So, that's two The Office regulars that guest-starred on Six Feet Under (the other being Rainn Wilson, aka Dwight on The Office and Arthur on Six Feet Under).

I have to say it's sad seeing George in the state he's in. I like how Six Feet Under cuts right through the crap. Any other show would devote an episode or two more about his condition (which we only really got a taste of two or three times last season), but he was already taken away and put through a process to fix his condition between the fourth and fifth season.

Oh yeaahhhhh. It's all coming back to me.

X, episode watch: Rainbow of Her Reasons is one of the best episodes (and deals well with the Ruth/George thing) of the season. Aside from the final 3 episodes, which are pretty much insanely awesome.

I've watched "A Coat of White Primer", "Dancing for Me", "Hold My Hand", and I'm currently watching "Time Flies". Fairly solid episodes so far. Fun to see Illeana Douglas back as Angela. Poor Rico... Jenna Fischer just wasn't interested in him!

 Still watching "Time Flies" (Nate's 40th birthday episode). Funny stuff between George and Keith.

(after a bird breaks into Nate's house through a window, during the birthday party)
Brenda's friend: That's a good omen!
Nate's friend: The Sci-Fi Channel says it's a bad omen!
George: It's not an omen, it's a bird!
Keith: Amen.
George: No, "omen". It's pronounced omen.

Watched right up to "Ecotone". Wow. So, Nate's dead. I'm fairly speechless. It seemed so weird that all season, the family was together at times, but still so much apart. Then, we had all those hospital scenes, and the family was together but still so distant. After the shock of seeing him collapse in "Singing for Our Lives", and now that he's dead, I don't think I'm going to watch the last three episodes just yet.

Not to mention that I'm going to miss this show when I'm finished watching. I really want the DVD sets, but they're so expensive.

I actually didn't really feel anything for Nate's death in Ecotone. Not even the superb episode following it, All Alone (the episode for which I think Rachel Griffiths and Micheal C. Hall deserve Emmys), did I feel anything.

It wasn't until the final moments of the final episode that it actually kind of hit me.

Keep me updated, X.

Well, I'm through "All Alone" and "Static". Again, great episodes. I'm almost hesitant in watching the last episode. This is it. The swan song. I don't really want it to end, but everything is leading to it.

I've said it way too many times, but the cast is an incredibly talented bunch. All of them. I hope this show gets a LOT of recognition at the Golden Globes and the Emmys.

Yes, I finally watched it. I have to say I was just really blown away by those last ten minutes or so. I think it was such a fitting ending to the show. Some movies or TV shows will tell you what happens to the characters, but "Six Feet Under" is all about death. It's only right to let us know how the main characters die and when. I was getting a tear or two in my eye when Claire was about to leave, but what really did it to me was when she was driving away, and Nate was jogging behind her. When he was slowly fading away in the rear-view mirror, I cried a bit. I don't mind admitting it! Loyal cried too, so there.

I have no idea what I'll do now without Six Feet Under.

Yeah, Claire seeing Nate in her rear-view mirror got to me. So did Ruth seeing Nate and Nathaniel on her deathbed. And David seeing Keith. And... well pretty much all of it.

I think it's one of the best finales ever.

Definitely. I'm going to miss the show a lot. Although, I didn't get to see the Six Feet Under special. I think it was called "Six Feet Under 2001-2005". Is it just the best clips from the show?

Can someone tell me how Lisa died? I missed the last few episodes on Showcase that dealt with her discovered death and all that.

It turned out that she was having an affair with her sister's husband, and when she (Lisa) threatened to tell, he killed her.

And when Nate went to confront him about it, he (Lisa's sister's husband) ended up killing himself.

Pretty much it, I believe.

Wow...was this all dealt with in the third season? I'm actually having some difficulty watching the show because Nate just gets under my skin for some reason. He's just so moody and indignant.

Oh wait wait wait wait...

Lisa's dies on the last episode of season three (we see her dead body), but the cause of her death isn't revealed till the last episode of season four.

Uh-oh. Hope we didn't just hardcore spoil things for you.

Meh, that's ok. The episode I just saw was the one where the opening death is of a woman who runs into the middle of traffic after seeing a bunch of plastic sex-dolls that looked like angels.

I wanted to bump this thread and get people talking more with the awards coming up. Hopefully the show racks up nominations!

In the KJ Television Awards??

You probably mean the Emmys. To be honest, I think that ship has sailed. I'm sure it'll get a few nods, maybe even Best Drama. But, I don't think any wins will be in store, sadly. It was quite the enjoyable final season.

Yup, the KJ Awards. It seems we have a few fans here, so hopefully it can get a few nods.

As for the Emmys, I think it will get Drama, Lead Actress, Supporting Actress, Writing, and Directing.

Because of the new system, I think Michael C. Hall can get in if he makes the short list, but I dunno about Peter Krause. Rachel Griffiths will also have a hard time getting in, but hopefully she makes the short list and sends in "All Alone." If they are remembered, Patricia Clarkson and Kathy Bates could show up, and there is always technicals. I'm optimistic, I know.

I don't know if I should be bumping this up since it's such an old thread, but I've been just dying to talk about it.

I've become completely addicted to this show this summer. I've gotten through three seasons (just finished the third last night) and it's already one of my all-time favorite television dramas. It's so addicting and some of the performances are absolutely spectacular. I'm going to pick up season four while I'm out today, but hopefully I'll be able to finish the series by the end of the summer.
