Amy's impression of Sharon Stone always makes me laugh. Man that woman's crazy...Sharon Stone that is heh.

The sketch with the Chicago-style dancers was also funny and felt almost like effortless comedy. Plus, Weekend Update is officially back!!! "Sponge Bob Square Pants will now be shown in China. So now the people in China will finally know what they're making." Ho! Love you Tina

I saw the majority of the show, but missed Weekend Update. The first two sketches (Including that commercial) were awful. Butt cancer? Hilarious!

To the show's credit though, it picked up after the Chicago-esque sketch and it was good from there. It could still be funnier though, and with Lance Armstrong next week, I'm not expecting it to happen immediately.

I actually found that Chicago type sketch to be brilliantly done. This show has sucked badly all season long, and last night's didn't have one bad sketch, IMO. Maybe it's no coincidence that the male castmates stepped it up to try to impress CZJ, huh?

Heh, that might be the case! I didn't see the entire episode yet, but what I saw, I liked.

No I meant after the CNN sketch. I thought the Chicago sketch was pretty good (I just looked up to read what I wrote. I meant to say after the CNN sketch). The only thing I really didn't like about the show was the opening sketch, the Butt Cancer commercial and the CNN sketch.

Okay, I take back my kind words. The show was again very bland. Not as horrendous as Jon Heder's episode, but certainly nothing up to par with even the most average of episodes. The monologue was okay, but I'll be happy when we don't have a Dubya opening skit. The singing and dancing monologue thing is done way too much, and it's rarely entertaining. Butt cancer was childish as hell, and maybe if done on MADtv, it would be accepted as entertainment, but not SNL. The CNN sketch was horrible. Reminiscent of the "Funeral" skit from the Heder episode, you knew what was coming, and it didn't make it any funnier.

From here on out, there was a bit of a pick-up in quality. I wasn't as enthusiastic over the Dancers sketch, but it made me chuckle a few times (probably the most I've laughed all season). Weekend Update was okay, but I expected better with Tina's return. The Spongebob joke was the only standout. The teacher sketch was okay, but it's nothing noteworthy. A few chuckles here and there. The Spanking Couple was, yet again, okay. They need to start writing quality comedy again before they can suddenly create a low-brow sketch like this one, and the Butt Cancer commercial. Funniest sketch was the last one, with the movie producers.

If I had my way, I would ditch Andy Samberg (hasn't done a single noteworthy thing since he came on the show, while Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis have stood out, even above the veterans). I would probably axe Maya Rudolph. I haven't really laughed at anything she has done lately (as in last season, since she's only appeared in the premiere so far). For the love of God, just get rid of Horatio Sanz. Pronto! There's too many cast members, and these three aren't really needed at all.

So far, it's back to being a very unfunny show. Last week showed much improvement, and now they're back mediocrity.

When a dog acting up is the funniest part of the sketch, you know you have problems.

That Carrol sketch that aired before the second musical segment was one of the most embarassing sketches in the show's recent history.

The whole night was embarrassing. Lance Armstrong further proves that any sports figures should not host SNL. The only funny skit was the Bill O'Reilly one, but that was just the same joke over and over. The entire season has been filled with one-joke sketches. And for once, could a sports figure hosting SNL NOT play themselves in more than three sketches? Seriously.

Thank God Jason Lee is hosting in two weeks. And "SNL Goes Commercial" next week, which I can only assume is their best faux-advertisements.

The only cast members that stand out that I'd keep are Bill Hader, Darrell Hammond, Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, and I guess keep Tina Fey on WU. Everyone else is either easily replaceable or just plain awful (Yes, that would be you, Horatio Sanz).

I disagree on some of those people, Will Forte I never really found too funny, but I would add Finesse into that group as well, who's actually imo their best new person in quite a while. Also, its clear that the absence of Maya Rudolph is having an effect, and imo Rachel Dratch and Maya Rudolph and Hammond are the best things they have right now, along with Tina Fey (occasionally), and Amy (occasionally, but has participated in some bad bad skits).

Finesse has his moments, I guess. He was the funniest part of the Funeral sketch three weeks ago ("Don't mind if I DO!") and it didn't even get a good laugh.

They had a period like this in the mid 80s, when it just seemed like nothing was working. What they did is: fire most of them, keep maybe 2 or 3 of the best, bring in some outside heavy hitters who already have established themselves as being funny.

Like in this case, I'd get rid of everyone but Poehler, Fey and the girl who does Debby Downer. Fire everyone else. Then steal a few good comics from other shows.

He came back last night. I'm not sure if he's here for the long haul since I didn't get a chance to see the cast list at the beginning of the show, though I hope so. He was the funniest thing about the show last night (The fire alarm commercial set to 80's songs).

Hopefully Jason Lee can bring some life into the show again. I'm hoping it's just an early season slump.
