Extremely impressive for House, as those ratings are comparable to what it was getting following American Idol.

So, basically much better. This show will last for at least 5 seasons.

It wasn't all that. They should have retitled it "The Destiny's Child Awards" because more than half of the show was honoring them and them receiving awards. They even performed.

Great numbers for House. It has morphed into a bonafide success story. Bones did well in its premiere as well. I had always wondered why Fox didn't move House to 8/7 central and have Bones after it so as to give the new show a large lead-in. That would seem to make more sense than starting the night off with a new and unproven series.

I agree with you Joe, I was wondering the same thing. I think it was quite stupid of them to have BONES first. No doubt would BONES have been a bigger hit had they aired HOUSE before it. I just don't get what is up with their decision.
Anyway, GREAT for GILMORE GIRLS! Woo-hoo! I'd be in heaven if it could beat out that damn 7th Heaven this year.
Also doing excellent was SUPERNATURAL. Hopefully it can keep it up.

Your so Evil Moviedude. I should really get on with you better because of it.
Anywhoo the ratings ala ttracker.
Bones - 10.5 Million Viewers
House - 15.7 Million Viewers compared to last seasons debut of 7.1 Million
Gilmore Girls - 6.1 Million Viewers which was almost identical to last season
Supernatural - 5.5 Million Viewers 90% retention of audience with 0 falloff in second half.
The Biggest Loser - 7.8 Million Viewers
WMA - 5.17 Million Viewers
Meanwhilst Martha is holding excellently after an OKAY debut. Tyra Banks also holds onto her debut figures - but those were far less impressive and therefore the show is currently in "failure" area.
ABC actually fell behind WB last night.
FOX being #1 is becoming a regular occurance these days...even with American Idol being absent,
bring on Lost, Desperate Housewives , Commander In Chief and Alias for interesting figures this year.

Commander in Chief looks horrid. Geena Davis has never had a successful TV series and this doesn't look likely to change that.
