I feel compelled to write a little note on this. I've personally taken a lot of shit for months on end from one particular member in regards to these private forums. So maybe its about time everyone should know what they are.

Mod Forum: A forum exclusively for the mods and the admins. No one else has any rights to it. The reason for its existance should be a no brainer.

Trash Heap: Where we throw away some trash threads from time to time though not always used. Access ristricted to mods. Also helps when spamming takes place. Instead of deleting the threads and losing the IP of the member (much like how it happened during the poster awards(?), they're placed there and IP remains intact.

Main Site Contributors: Access available for only those who contribute to the main site in one form or another. It exists so certain articles can be discussed, articles can be posted for editing and available for putting up by the admins. New ideas or problems regarding articles are also discussed in there. To be a part, contribute to the site.

Temporary Forums:
There have only been 2 temporary forums in existance:

Movie Mayhem Forum: Forum created by request for RC to manage movie mayhem game. Instead of countless PMs and individually storing information, stuff was left in there for the people in charge of the game to see. This was later utilized for April Fool's joke and 99% of the mods along with 3 members had access to it. The forum is no longer in existance as it no longer serves a purpose.

Quote Forum. Requested by Loyal to manage the entire list and so a million PMs did not have to be sent. The people who have access to this forum will continue rotating depending on who is on the panel list. I have a fair idea that cept for 1 or 2 members, everyone on the current panel will be denied access for the next list.

Each of these forums is there to serve a purpose, not to allow posters themselves to have a forum to begin with. I've been burdened by having to justify not the existance of these forums by 1 particular member continously but the lack of his/her inclusion from time to time and then again, my inclusion of another member.

So here is the complete story.

I think it's really sad that you even need to expalin yourself Arsi. This is bullshit. You;d think think that some of the members of this site have shares in the site the way they go around crying about how hard done by they are here. I'm personally amused by it at times but now it is getting to the point where what these members need is to go to their room and stay there until they can apologise for their behaviour. Children need discipline at times and this is getting out of control.

I'd rather let everyone know why they were there than have everyone form their reasoning on speculations thrown out by one person here and there. Eagle created a thread to discuss goldie. that thread went up to 100 replies with very little actually being said in regards to the situation of goldie and now people treat him. might as well inform everyone about what the real truth is behind these forums than have the thread hijacked and taken off course

Much as children need discipline, so to do many adults, yet they are above the age discipline is deemed acceptable, and often such actions by adults go unchecked.


Dan, Arsi. I know and respect you both very much.

Much as I said in the other thread, there is a general mood present in these forums. It is negative. It manifests itself in an argumentative and attack like nature. I do not like it.


This thread is needed, because we have been questioned, and as admins and mod team leader, we need to explain ourselves. That is our duty, and responsibility to the members. I don't care if you think that the user is questioning you just to question. The fact is, when on the inside, things may seem like they should be clear to those on the outside, when infact, they are not.

We three know that the forums are not used in fostering cliques, but this question has been raised, and not just by one user. There is nothing wrong with them gaining a better understandng of the private forums, and we never were trying to hide there existance in the first place.

We will not stopp to name calling or stone casting. We are going to go about this respectfully, explain ourselves, and let them gain the understanding that we already have. I refuse to sit back and watch as this cloud of negativity grows, especially when those contributing to it are two of my favorite posters. We (Arsi, Dan, Me) have to set the example, we have to nip this in the butt ourselves, before we can ever ask the members to do it as well.

Guys, if you want me to refrain from being the way I am, then let me know. I respect both of you as well and if my bickering with others is considered conduct unbecoming, then tell me. But this constant wining is pretty silly. And nothing will change how I feel about that. So a few members couldn't have access to a private forum to count votes. So annother member didn't like how the votes were tabulated. Come on, this is ridiculous. But you are the man Eagle, tell me what you want from me and I'll oblige. And if you no longer feel that my abilities as a mod are conducive to a postivie site, then you can tell me that as well, because I think this whole thing just reeks of immaturity and boorishness.

And yeah Mav, I've seen the trailer. I posted it in the thread in Cinemania. You were right, that's not Cash's voice doing the songs. I really do think Joaquin sang all of them. He's gonna get a record deal the way J.Lo did after Selena. Only, he's way cooler than J.Lo, so that's the last time anyone will ever see me put those two names together in the same sentence.

Anyways, the movie was so excellent. Y'all have to see it opening weekend. Trust me its so good you'll need to see it Friday just so you can have tme to see it on saturday and sunday repeat viewing. You'll want to see it at least 3 times in its first 72 hours of release. Yeah...its that good.
