Terrible night, with the exception of Aaron and Suzi. This is how it goes for me.

1. Aaron
2. Suzi
3. Rex
4. Amber
5. Casey
6. Melissa- What a let down, after last weeks fantastic performance, this was terrible
7. Ashley- See above
8. Daryl
9. Josh

I see Daryl, Ashley and Melissa in the bottom 3. If Melissa was in last week when she was good, it can't be much better this week. There's also a chance Casey will be in there too though. I do think Daryl will go, though it could surprise and be Ashley, I think at least.

I'll bet my left nut that it'll be a Rex vs Suzi finale. Just for the record.

As for last night, Rex was a bit below his game but still worlds better than at least four or five of the others. Suzi gave a star performance and earned herself lots of praise. Amber did ok, but she's too old-fashioned to make it with the kids. Daryl and Josh did their things respectively, and even though they're nowhere near the top of the groups in terms of talent, their fans will be pleased enough to vote them through.

As for the surprises, well Aaron actually sounded good. You can tell he's trying to ditch the over-the-top theatrics, so good for him for actually listening to the judges. Melissa and Ashley gave sub-par performances that were akin to something you'd hear at a high school production of Rent. And Casey's mere presence in the competition is a surprise as it is, so there's no need to pan her glassy performance.

1. Suzi
2. Aaron
3. Rex
4. Amber
5. Daryl
6. Josh
7. Melissa
8. Ashley
9. Casey

And on a side note, can we vote off Zack tomorrow night as well? I'm so sick of this middle aged loser trying to act all hip with the kids...especially with the rockers, Suzi and Rex. He has yet to offer an articulate critique on any of the performances as well. Boooo Zack!

I felt bad for Ashley. Visibly shaking and teary-eyed. I didn't really see the performances last night, but I still felt bad for her, whether or not she deserved to go.

I feel really bad for Ashley. She was pretty upset. I really don't think she should have gone yet, last week she had the best performance of the night and showed that she could really sing. She should have been in the top 5 or 6. And what's with people not voting for Melissa? She's a fantastic singer and shouldn't be anywhere near the bottom. I think Canada has yet again shown how sexist we are when it comes to Canadian Idol when Daryl keeps on getting further and further and some really talented ladies are getting the boot too early.

That's cool, it was fun to watch it play out. I guess it was taped then, even though it clearly said LIVE on the damned broadcast.

Well, I guessed Josh for the bottom three, but was off on the other two. Daryl somehow escaped and Melissa was put there again to my surprise. Ashley is no big loss, I just think a couple should have left before her.....and I can't believe she didn't pass out.

Sorry about that. I won't ruin the ending anymore. It airs at 6:30 EST for us, for some strange reason, and I thought that's when it aired everywhere. I guess 3:30 Pacific time would be a bit early.

It's not live for people watching in the Eastern timezone unfortunately. ATV shows the results at 6.30PM EST, so all of you with digital cable and timeshifting don't wait for 7.30, just click to Channel 105 at 6.30 and you get your results.

I don't think I've every seen any Idol crack under pressure like Ashley did tonight. Holy crap, I thought she was going to faint at one point.

Anyway, it's not that big of a surprise that she went. I'm still trying to figure out how Casey keeps dodging the axe, let alone the bottom three :-k

We must love her in "Nova Scotia Brunswick Prince Edward Newfoundland Iqaluit".

Good job Benny, you called Josh being in the bottom 3.

I wouldn't have knocked Ashley out just yet, but she isn't a huge loss. One of the biggest vote outs I've seen on Canadian Idol in terms of impact. The hyperventilation, walking all the way down the aisle to kiss her mum, and the love from the rest of the contestants (you don't realize how close these idols get living together for weeks. It makes me think the Idol reality tv shows would be more fun if they had one episode a week designated to actual reality television, with the idols living through the weeks during the show, and practicing, etc.).

PEACE, Mike ;)

Agreed. It would be nice to see them struggle through song choice, wardrobe and musical arrangement just like that half hour Rockstar INXS episode does. The Idol brand is in dire need of some kind of innovation to keep things fresh.

Well Vote For the Worst is officially backing up Casey. It's a shame, she's slightly better than Daryl. And they do seem to love Canada since we send some pretty crappy people far.

We need a female winner this year. Male winners are tough, because it's usually girls who will support them. It's hard for me to guy buy a Kalan Porter CD, you know? But, it's a bit easier to buy a CD of a female singer.

I don't know, that may sound ridiculous.

I agree, and I know what you mean. Besides, both winners so far have been male. I want a female this year.

PEACE, Mike ;)

Right now, it's a tossup between Rex and Suzie with Amber having an outside chance. At least that's what I think.

Also, has anyone else noticed that pretty much every single former Canadian Idol contestant has just realeased their CD in the past like 3 months? Theresa Sokyrka, Jason Greely, Shane Wiebe and now Toya Alexis. Too much! And those constant adds on CTV are driving me up the wall. I can't get away from it! Actually though, I think Shane's CD is selling pretty well. Whenever I go to Future Shop or HMV or something like that, his CD is always shown right up at the front of the store (unlike the other Idol contestants) and I've been told that his CD is selling pretty well from those that work at these stores.

http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/Charts/ALBUMS.html

It shows Theresa at #64 after 13 weeks. Shane Wiebe debuted at #71 and Jason Greeley is at #114.

1. Melissa O'Neil
2. Josh Palmer
3. Aaron Walpole
4. Suzi Rawn
5. Amber
6. Rex Goudie
7. Casey LeBlanc
8. Daryl Brunt

The bottom 3 will probably be: Casey, Amber, and perhaps Aaron. I could see Josh in the bottom 3 as well. People just don't appreciate his style. All I know is that Daryl will sneak by again because the girls gush over him. He deserves to go, still, in my opinion.

Who I WANT in the bottom 3 are Daryl, Casey, and Rex. But Rex will probably never, ever, ever be in the bottom 3. Infact, he's probably going to win this competition, which sucks.

By the way, does anybody know a site where you can download their songs?

PEACE, Mike ;)

Finally a good night! Everyone was pretty good (yes, even Daryl!)

1. Melissa- That was such a great performance. If that can't save her from the bottom three, I don't think anything can. I really hope she can rebound now and win this thing.
2. Suzi- Great as always. She's got this whole thing wrapped up.
3. Aaron- Sass and Zach are morons ](*,)
4. Rex- Good job. He's probably the only one who can beat Suzi now.
5. Josh- That was probably his best performance yet and he's starting to grow on me.
6. Amber- Snore. She has a good voice, but is just so boring. She needs to sing something upbeat for once.
7. Daryl- He was actually ok tonight!
8. Casey- The beginning was good, but when she started to move around...

Bottom 3 will probably be Melissa, Daryl and Amber. I think Melissa will be going home, but there's a chance that the fans could really push for her since she had such a great performance and Daryl could be out.

Also, was it just me or was Zach being a real ass hole tonight? The whole shirt thing irked me and him and Sass can never find anything good to say about Aaron. And they were pretty much ridiculing Daryl the entire time.
