Dude. I don't prepare joints for Alice Cooper concerts.

My ex-girlfriend got me this, actually. "The Merry Hempsters: Vanilla Vegan Hemp Balm"

The vanilla is nonexistant. The hemp smell is very very apparent.

But it was one hell of a concert. But I'm no hippy. I'm considered a smart stoner. We're few but we're proud.

Uhuh. I guess that explains the issues with the French Psychology assignment, too.

Good to see Ashcroft go. Does anyone know who might take his place?

Bush legalizing millions of illegals.....why? To buy immigrant votes for the Republicans with the gift of citizenship? Methinkso. But I'm also somewhat ignorant and incredibly biased and hateful at this sad time in our country's history.

Anywho

I smoke pot.

Bwahahahaha!

Nice Neo. Never one to beat around the Bush huh? I got some literture for you if you're up for it. "Low Bridge, Everyone Cross."

As to the topic at hand. Um, lets be honest here, its "Illegal" immigration, so how you plan to put controls on it outside of a big fat Check-Point Charlie is beyond me. And now, charlie had his day and I really don't relish the thought of being a country associated with his resurrection. So, instead of such beautiful little lines as "Seal Them Off" Lets build the Great Wall of the USA, how do you actually propose to go about handling this situation? Really?

Should every person crossing the border be considered a terrorist threat? Even the little guys that are just trying to make their way to, I don't know, Arizona or California to sew your clothing for you? Round every single one of them up and toss em in Guantanamo for questioning a few years down the line? You know what the backlog would be? If those Terrorist are just posing as tourist, the chances of you catching them walking across the ditch instead of flying in on cute little airplanes with all the tourists from Cancun is really minimal if not altogether non-existant.

Please Coaster, and anyone else, by all means offer up some suggestions for the filtering process if this isn't actually about the Mexicans.

You know, I believe there was an article about exported Trash from Canada going to privately owned dumps near the great lakes being a terrorist threat as well. Let me go dig up the article.

Very glad Ashcroft is gone. Next up, Rumsfeld. Then only two guys are left in the "CARB (Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, Bush)" axis of evaaaaal!

Same thoughts here... Rumsfeld should go next (esp. if Powell is staying... they just fought too much with each other...), Cheney might stay for a year, or two, even complete his term as a V.P. but since he isn't interested in running for the President's Office, the GOP might shove him aside after two years to put someone in there who is interested to run in 2008 and get him ready... And Bush, oh well, he's here to stay until 2008...

Even during the Bush' first term, I have concentrated more on people around him, since he seems to make decisions based on his advisers recommendations (and their various agendas), a.k.a. corporate-style...

I thought they came over from Asia through the Bering Strait...

Or, maybe they were left behind by E.T.s and UFOs as Erich von Daeniken believes...

That Low Bridge reference I made earlier? Archie and John, you two might be interested in it.

[quote=" Originally posted by http://www.knowledge.co.uk/xxx/cat/deloria/:]
The Low Bridge chapter - deals with the Bering Strait and goes outside the Indian area to ask what scholars think of the Bering Strait when they are not focused on Indians - well, it is a mess - they have the Bering land bridge opening every time they want to send some species back and forth between Asia and America in order to maintain their evolutionary trees. So we have bison, horses, mammoths, palm, oak and hickory trees, you name it, all traveling across the Bering Strait - Bob Bakker even has dinosaurs running back and forth. You can imagine the number of Ice Ages that would entail.

Enjoy,

-Dolce

I'm for all immigration being legal, but in the mean time, let's enforce the laws we have on the books.

And please, people, could you think of nothing more intellectually dishonest than trying to ascribe crimes that happened 200-300 years ago on the people who have nothing to do with them?

It's a dishonest point, though.

Coaster has a point too; it's been well-documented that terrorists are trying to get to the U.S. by way of Mexico.

Nah. It's not a particularly good point at all actually. I'm using it to try to push literature on people, and I do think its time we came to grips, and I mean globally, with Indigenous peoples' rights and identity issues, but it really doesn't have much to do with this thread. Seriously, I've got lit and am doing a bibliographic compilation on Jimmy Durham as we speak, but that really doesn't have much to do with the questions I asked earlier about "filtering" illegal immigration and how Coaster/Anyone else that cares to answer the question would consider treating a suspected terrorist vs. some regular Mexican who is just trying to cross the border.

One thing I would do, is make it much easier to immigrate here legally. That way, there would be no point for Mexicans to come here illegaly and we'd get cheap labor (hey, i'd eliminate minimum wage laws, you know it), and we could use our border officials more efficiently in catching the real criminals.
