Ohio is slipping away, but it's still within reach for Kerry. 83% reported, and 140,000 votes to make up in the final 17% of the precincts.
Do you guys think all of the Kerry cheerleaders would be here right now if he was winning?

85% and Kerry has closed much ground. He's only about 97,000 votes behind now.

FoxNews was first, but both MSNBC and Fox has called Ohio for Bush. All he needs now is New Mexico and its over.

But, but New Mexico and Nevada could still go to Kerry and tie the thing

A tie means a Bush win. And Iowa is pulling out for Bush.

Yeah, it's over...

However, Bush almost has it in his bag. He takes a lead in Iowa and Ohio seems to be his.

Just a pointless question, why do some of the Bush pictures (CNN, Yahoo) have the American flag in the background while the Kerry pictures don't. :?
I guess it's pretty much over no matter how many or few fat ladies start singing for no reason. The popular vote was a LOT bigger for Bush than I expected, and he has the majority, so people can't complain about how half the country didn't elect him. 8)

Because war means patriotism in the U.S. The best way to get the majority of the U.S. populace behind you... This election is a proof of it, at least in terms of the popular vote... Exactly, so if things get screwed up even more, esp. re. Iraq and the war on Terror, I don't want those who voted for Bush to complain...

According to ABCNews with 91% precincts reporting Bush is still leading by 106,909 votes... Even with expected provisional bellots to be counted later, it is an uphill battle to overcome this margin...
Ohio race for President
10436 of 11477 precincts - 91 percent
George W. Bush (i) Rep 2,548,508 - 51 percent
John F. Kerry Dem 2,441,599 - 49 percent
