Eh... it looks okay. Nothing makes me think 'I have to see that!' And some of David Koepp's dialogue/"morals" sound painful.

Hey, has anyone seen the billboard posters for WoftW which vaguely remind me of NBA playoff season? Is this just me, or is the movie really being marketed like this?

I don't like it. Since this movie isn't a parody. I would have expected it for Mars Attacks, or a film of that nature, but in this scenario, its confusing me a bit.

Wait? The NBA and WotW are doing a marketing team up, right?

Looks much better than the other trailer, i really want to see it. Still a little something missing from it to get that Uber Blockbuster feel, but maybe Spielberg isn't showing us something, i hope they're not all the 'money shots' in the trailer ala Day After Tomorrow.

Guys, Spielberg has gone on record as saying he made sure that none of the marketing guys showed more then 5% of the stuff he has waiting for us. There's entire scenes of huge things that have been under wraps the trailers haven't even hinted at, and even the stuff they have they've been keeping very much on the down low too. The fact that they could make such an amazing trailer while keeping it so secretive is probably why I love it so much.

As for the box office, right now I'm comparing it to a lower Spider-Man 2. I'm giving it about 70% as big of a 5 day, 75% as big a three day (Fourth of July is on Monday instead of Sunday this time, no sequelitis), and 80% of it's total since I think keeping it so under wraps and Spielberg's capacity of making huge crowdpleasers will give it slightly better legs. So that's about 66 million for the three day, 115 million for the five day, and 300 milion total. It might be less, but I doubt it.

I think it looks like the best movie of the summer, honestly.

I hope this movie is good, and it looks like it will be just because they're not showing anything. I think the reason I didn't like Star Wars Ep III as much as I could have was because I had seen all of the cool stuff in the trailers and then nothing in the movie impressed me. I hope it's the opposite situation here.

If this is true... *drooling in anticipation of what's still to come* :Jump:

Why have I got this feeling that they're gonna screw H.G. Wells' book up? Having the story take place in the USA instead of London? I don't like that very much; they're going to have to change the story a bit for that to work.

Still, I'm definitely going to see it.

Well hell, it's sort of hard NOT to see everything in a movie nowadays with the internet releasing pics of the movie every 5 minutes.. I'm impressed more hasn't been leaked yet from this movie but eventually, someone will leak more..
