Very Solid Episode.
I must say I am pleased with all the storylines and characters. The Finale looks KICK ASS!!!
Mr. Solice and the gay hater thing ws hillarious. But I guess he still doesn't know anything. I wonder what Gabrielle will do; if she will still run.
I wonder if Mike kills Pail and how Susan is gnna act with Mike.
Bree is indeed cold and brutal. Even though she stands for everything I'm against and is probably hte most hatab;e character now, she is still the best. Writing is so incredible on this show.
I also like Lynette and Tom's storyline. I wonder how Lynette is going to take everything. Anyone think Tom will stay home now while Lynette will go for the professional life??
Felicia is so good. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. Edie was great, as always, but still I disagree with suggestions that they have incorporated her into the firm storylines. She needs a storyline of her own!!
The finale looks SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CanNOT wait!

Absolutely amazing episode!
Bree is such a cold-hearted bitch. When she was making that bed it made me suspect she has something to do with the switched medication. It might not be the case, but it could be.
It was quite refreshing to see Edie spend more than 10 minutes on screen. I really love her character, and that one line "Not if you choke on them" was priceless. I hope they can find some way to include her character a lot more in the coming episodes.
Susan became more interesting in this episode. She didn't seem so down and depressed. I like her a lot more when she is upbeat and happy.
I hope Alfre Woodard is a good addition to the cast. Finally, an african american housewife. I've been longing for this moment. Hopefully, she can add some spunk to the show.
Andrew is such a psychotic little turd. I do not care for his character, and I hope he is the one to go.
Gabrielle was great tonight, and Carlos beating up yet another homosexual was hilarious.
The commercial for the season finale looked great, and very interesting. I simply cannot wait, this show is truly one of the best on television.

I think I got mixed up. I am taking about Paul's kid. Not Bree's.

They should give Felicia her own spin-off show!

They should just make her a regular cast member, I think. She's even more awesome than Bree.

Harriet Sansom Harris is brilliant as Felicia. She was so great on "Frasier", but that was a strictly comedic role. Here, all her positives come shining through, and I hope that she may even get some sort of Emmy recognition. I hope she's full-time next year.
While Rex has been a real jackass in the past, I like him a hell of a lot more than creepy little bastard, George.
Alfre Woodard. I enjoy a new face, but I hope this doesn't add too much to the show. Hopefully, maybe a character or two is leaving after this season, so her character doesn't really spoil the already perfect cast.

I just finished watching the episode today since I recorded it. I HATE George, yuck. I hope he leaves the show after the season finale... Which looks fantastic.

I dont like how other shows, for example Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs, are starting to copy the DH lead in style of voice over announcer philosophizing.
As to this episode, that seemed like the slowest paced heart attack I've ever seen.

Scrubs has been doing it since Season 1.

I wondered about that, well someone is copying someone then I guess. Copying a little isn't so bad, it's just that it's starting to spread like kudzu, now it's on 3 shows that I see and maybe more that I don't see. It doesn't quite work on Grey's Anatomy though. On Desperate Housewices, the narrator (Mary Alice) has a warm wise voice but on Grey's Anatomy the lead girl has this teeny bopper kewpie doll voice that just doesn't sound like it knows much about life. They should have Sandra Oh do the voice over on that show.

Yes, Scrubs has been doing it all along, don't blame Scrubs.

I actually think MAVO on Housewives is really irritating. She singsongs *everything* and I want her to shut up and quit saying things so hammy and obvious, like she always does.

Wow, you don't like her voiceovers? That's surprising. They actually fired the original girl and brought her in instead because of her more comedic voice that they wanted for the narration.

I just think MAVO says things that don't need to be spoken out loud because we can already see it with our own eyes. Also, Brenda Strong seems to have this dreadful way of narrating where she pauses and states sentences like they're questions. I just find it distracting.

Maybe it's just the female voice that I like. Remember when they did the recap show a few weeks back and had a guy doing the narration? I found that kinda strange that they just didn't get Brenda Strong, but I didn't like it as much because I was so used to her over the top commentary.

I think Mary Alice is perfect, and I love the voiceover. IT's warm with perfect comedic timing, and does a good job at wrappuing things up while mking you reflect on the episode, regardless if the things she says are obvious or not. You don't always see what's in fornt of you.

I agree with Rod. Mary Alice's voice-over is very well done.
So it the voice-over actress the actual Mary Alice/Angela actress' voice?
SEASON FINALE TONIGHT!!!!!
Anyone want to guess what the cliffhanger will be?
And what exactly are they going to reveal. Do you guys think they'll reveal Zach's real father, Mike ?
I really hope it's the best episode of the season!

I agree with Libs. I don't like the voiceover; it's irritating.
"People by their VERY NATURE are always on the lookout for intruders."
The stuff she says may be fitting, but it's still stupid.

Wait, do you guys have a problem with the voice or the writing?
Because they are two very different things. It's not like the voice-over woman writes what she says, even the emphasis on whatever words I'm sure are noted in the script or by the writer.
I think the voice over work is very good, the writing and the appropriateness is okay, not bad at all, but not the best. but I think it fits the show quite good.
I'm sure if alot of the stuff she says was removed, you'd feel the show was a bit more stale.

The purpose of the voice overs is a way for them to tie up loose ends, and at the beginning to bring the viewer up to speed quickly. I see it as functional mainly, servinga purpose in helping them structure the story. Of course the comments are silly, the show is 1/2 comedy anyway.

Well, I suppose in this case it's a little bit of both.
I think the voiceover would be all right if she would just tone it down a bit.

I wouldn't mind the voiceovers if Brenda Strong stopped (forgive me) putting the "wrong em-PHA-sis on the wrong syl-LA-ble."

Wow!
We actually get to see Mary Alice/Angela in action.
Also, Zach/Dana? You little twerp? If you harm Felicia in a way that prevents her from further appearing on this show, I will hurl my TV out the window.
