Alright, I dont want to come off as a complete jerk, and I am all for us having our own avatars etc etc and expressing who we are... but come on. Lots of the big posters here have huge images of people half naked that fill up half the window. I don't mind it.... but when these active posters dominate threads (hey, the more imput the better!), it turns into a softporn gallery. We have people with Hally Berry flaunting, an ugly guy who really needs to shave his chest, underwear gallore, mirror-supresed nipples.... I know you might have hidding meanins and might be playing around... and I dont want to encrouch on anyone's 'rights' here, but can you guys please tone it down a tad? It's getting a little rediculous with the sexual avatars and signatures! I know this is a forum filled with horny little guys but isn't there something else to look at? lol..... please take this into consideration guys. It isn't a complait, more like a plea. Please, lets de-boob-a-fy some of these profiles guys! Or pick hotter people :wink:

I don't mind the hot girls in avatars. I mind the big, huge avatars.

Not one mention of Jennifer Garner in Zach's post. Phew!

Oh wait... okay fine. But still... I don't know. I see your point in it. I mean the HUGE avatars are a little troublesome, but anything in reasonable size shouldn't be a problem.

Example of annoying avatars?

-Snickety Snack 2's huge avatar of a brain
-Insomniacdude's Metroid Prime avatar
-Dr. Lecter's avatar (mainly because it's disturbing )

I don't know why that Metroid one is SO big. It's a decent size itself, but it has white bordering all around it, like it makes it stand out more. If the white was cut off, it wouldn't be that bad. And, I have yet to see the brain. Although I understand Zach's problem.

If anyone has a problem with mine, I could always compromise, and use the first picture here as my avatar, and the second as my signature. I mean I COULD not use anything, but the resources are there, might as well use them.

Mr. X, I think your avatar is fine now. It's big, but it's not wide, so that's good. Your signature picture might be a little big, though.

Ack, there's always problems with my signature. I'll leave it now, but tomorrow I'll try something new.

I think everyone here is responsible enough to police themselves, that said I think we all need to be mindful of everyone else.

Things like the hot girl thread and such are fine, but as avatars it would be nice to keep it PG. People here do look and browse the forum at work, and sometimes at school. It would be nice for them not to have to worry.

A note on size, I enjoy smaller avatars (see mine) because I think they look better and are easier on the eyes.

All of this is just my opinion, none of it is a rule, and in the end you can do what you want. I think Mr. X avatar and signiture are way to big, but its his choice.

In the end this will be a community decision. We are trying to create a community for everyone to enjoy and thats important to keep in mind.

I also think Mr. X's signature is a little too big. I don't like to filter through a page which 80% of the space is occupied by signatures. If anyone ever visits OscarWatch's forum, everyone there has signatures that are full of pictures. I guess that's why I don't visit there as often as I did before.

I agree. Mr. X's signature is huge. It burns my eyes.

I have changed both my avatar and signature for the time being. I hope it's finally a better fit, so I don't burn out the eyes of my fellow KJers.

For me, the sig is still too big, but no worries. I've just blocked the image.

Again, another slight change. If ANYONE else has more problems, I'll go with something smaller AGAIN. I've reduced the signature size greatly from the last one, and same for the avatar, and Nebs still has problems, so what does anyone else think?
