A positive side effect here is that this will greatly hurt Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Iran develops a lot of their drones and other weapons. This will greatly help Ukraine. I think I am in minority here, but I think a strategic strike on Iran could do the world some good. Hard to feel bad for Iran when they have a death to America mindset. Although I worry what the long term consequences are here. Afterall, there is a reason they say death to America. I hope for a better Iran going forward, but again our foreign interferences post Eisenhower have rarely been positive

Of course they are going to retaliate.

Their nuclear program almost certainly won’t recover, but neither will any other. All they have is hypocrisy and projection. They will dismantle and disarm all nuclear programs as soon as realistically possible as required, or they will be eliminated, exterminated, and driven to extinction. (Edit: more rapidly).

They have already warned twice.

Your morality is nothing but subjective and self-interested. If you could try to insult Iran, you can do the same for American history and legacy, which continues in the present day.

Greatly? No. You’re completely exaggerating the effect on Russia’s military. If it doesn’t affect the finances of Putin or Russia, it won’t ultimately affect their military or drone operations much, if at all.

The only positive (for the “West”) is that it undermines any nuclear blackmail, or strategic nuclear exploitation by Putin. Still, Putin can continue to undermine Western nuclear strategy.

And Putin isn’t concerned about military strikes against Russia’s nuclear arsenal, deployment, facilities, infrastructure, systems, grid, programs, or operations.

Iran's retaliation may have been intentionally to not do much real damage, but to save face.

I agree Shack. Honestly this has turned out into a huge win for Trump. America looked weak but now it looks strong. Very well played Trump. Although this was more on Netanyahu instead I think and Trump swooped in to piggy back off his success, but still well done.

Like it always is with Iran. And it's that way because they do not have nukes. So it's better for the world to keep it like that.
