 Re: Celebrity Deaths
Michelle Trachtenberg
I guess she must have been quietly Amanda Bynes-ing. I enjoyed her in Buffy and Six Feet Under, but playing the hot chick in Eurotrip is her finest work.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
The Michelle Trachtenberg news is rather surprising. I just read she'd somewhat recently had a liver transplant, and it sure didn't look like she was doing great based on some photos (she was unrecognizable to me).
Well, I know it was a relatively brief life, but hopefully she enjoyed herself while she was around.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
RIP, she feels like an extra young death because she’s been out of public eye for so long that w only associate her as a youth.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
RIP Gene Hackman, crazy if he died from a gas leak instead of being 95.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
Apparently it was not. They have deemed it suspecious.
Even as a 95 year old this feels very odd. Apparently their front door was unlocked too.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
Yeah maybe Gene died naturally before or after her suicide, then the dog got into the pill bottle or something.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
The dog was apparently in a bathroom closet. Everything just seems very strange. 2 other dogs were found alive on the property.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
RIP Michelle - far too young to die RIP Gene (and Betsy). The circumstances are so sad. Even at age 95 it is very sad as a big fan of Gene's work. Such a shame we didn't get another decade of him making films. He really ended his career during a high period with 8 films over 4 years - including critical and/or BO hits like Behind Enemy Lines, Heartbreakers, The Royal Tenenbaums, Runaway Jury, The Replacements, The Mexican and Heist. Before that - so many great films - The French Connection, Superman 1 and 2, Get Shorty, Crimson Tide, The Firm, Unforgiven, Poseiden Adventure, The Conversation and so on. Sadly his last film was Welcome to Mooseport but he was good to watch in it (and I do like Ray Romano).

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
Yeah, Behind Enemy Lines, Crimson Tide, Absolute Power, and The Firm. Excellent films, and wouldn't be as good without the Hackman. He certainly had presence. Enemy of the State is also a great film. He also worked on Antz. A great career. Even some older ones like Mississippi Burning and Bat*21 arer special because of Hackman.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
Quote: A February 27 autopsy of Gene Hackman reveals the 95-year-old Oscar winner died of a combination of “advanced Alzheimer’s disease” of and severe heart disease, the Santa Fe Medical Examiner announced today.
“It is reasonable to conclude that Mr. Hackman died on February 17,” Dr. Heather Jarrell said in a press conference with Santa Fe Sherif Adan Mendoza and other county officials. “He was in very poor health,” Dr. Jarrell also noted of Hackman, adding that there was evidence that he hadn’t eaten for a number of days. Ms. Arakawa is assumed to have died on or around February 11, officials estimated.
Hackman’s wife Betsy Arakawa seems to have passed away from Hantavirus New Mexico health officials confirmed. Hantavirus is spread mainly by rodents feces, and is not spread from person-to-person, according to the CDC

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
I loved Val, fantastic filmography despite not doing that much after 2000s. Hollywood legend.

 Re: Celebrity Deaths
He had such a great run in the 90s peaking in 1995 with Batman Forever and Heat (and Wings of Courage).

Probably a far right Pope who wants to make the church great again.
But, I'll throw my name into the ring. Vote for Pope Flava'd!
