Love Hurts and Heart Eyes will combine for more than $30 million.

Love Hurts seems like the type of movie that could have leggy run if it got good reviews, but not sure it will.

With good reviews (91% rt) and a non-breakout from Companion, I'm calling Heart Eyes as a big hit for around $20M. Perfect date movie for the days leading up to superbowl.

Hopefully Love Hurts does well too but its a tougher sell and all the Argylle comps are not gonna help since no one liked Argylle. $9M at best. Opening this on superbowl weekend was dumb cause I think its more of a lonely bro movie than a date movie.

I would love to see Heart Eyes do really well, but I don't see it happening. Reviews are great though, so hopefully that helps.

I think Companion will hold well which could hurt Heart Eyes.

Heart Eyes is the type of slasher I like but I also recall getting burnt by predicting too high for Valentine in 2001. Though perhaps this is more a "My Bloody Valentine" from 2009 but looks to be a sub $10m opener to me.

Love Hurts has more potential I guess - perhaps as high as $15m but could also easily tank.

Also - the Superbowl may depress the box office somewhat so falls could be larger than expected and holds the following week better.

I was thinking around 5 Million for Heart Eyes, but that was before reviews came out. While I don't think it will change too much, I would expand it a bit and say 5-7 Million. I would be extremely impressed if it cracked double digits. If Companion couldn't do it, I doubt this will.

I'll double down on it and predict that on this date in 2035 there will be at least six entries in the Heart Eyes franchise. It's a great title and easy to sell concept of a killer who targets couples.

I don't know, I was in the cinema last night and the Heart Eyes trailer got a lot of interest. It's not America but still.

Has anyone had a post Oscar career as bad as Ariana Debose? Argylle, Wish, Kraven the Hunter, now this movie Love Hurts embargo drops on Thursday? lol

Jennifer Hudson comes to mind. I can't think of a single movie or song she even made since her big win.

DeBose probably gets a big Hamilton role like Angela this time when they make the movie.

I really did not expect Love Hurts to get such horrible reviews.

How bad must Love Hurts be to get 20% on RT, having Quan and DeBose seems like a great way to get at least 50% of critics just by wanting to support minority cast film.

That's a shame. Getting two original movies over $10M would have been nice. Love Hurts is doa now.

I initially thought it looked really fun and expected good reviews, hoping it could be a sleeper hit. What a shame. Ke Huy Quan deserves better. Unfortunately, the poor reviews have killed my interest. It's currently sitting at 16% on Rotten Tomatoes with 50 reviews.

Rotten movies you always have to look a little closer. Majority reviews themselves are 2.5/5 so even if it’s at 16% the actual score itself is closer to 55%. Most seem to praise the fights, but most say the juggling of genres doesn’t work. End of the day, might still be a crowd pleaser

Dog Man dropped 70% from last Friday. Ouch. Is being based on a book why it's so frontloaded? Hopefully it rebounds next weekend.

Companion also had a terrible hold. I really thought it could have legs, but it's going to be hard to recover after an estimated 3.4 Million weekend.

Damn what a shit weekend. Openeds will likely only have 2x weekend multiplayers since Sunday will see some epic drops. Heart Eyes not clicking with the Friday night date crowd is puzzling.
