Sigh. Zingy? Watch your back. ](*,)
At least I was on the money with Hitchhiker.
Decent for The Interpreter, which will probably beat out Exhaustive Drawn-Out Money Grubbing Crap XXX 2 for the runner-up spot.

Sweet. It's quite refreshing to see the good looking, original film dominate over the generic, sequal action film.
PEACE, Mike

Goodness, this movie might finish with a total of less than my $28M opening weekend prediction.
I mean, it looks on course for $10-11M this weekend, which would be less than even Elektra opened with.

So, Zingy, are you going to eat your socks? Heh.
Even Rod overpredicted it slightly with $14M.

This really doesn't make sense... I guess the audience were extremely confused that Vin Diesel wasn't in it, and that it could go on without him.
Nice for Hitchhiker's Guide, could break 26 million.
Not good for Kung Fu Hustle, but nice for Sin City.

I think it makes perfect sense. It was an unnecessary sequel that no one asked for.

I think the number will probably be about $2-3M higher than that. As much as this isn't *really* a family film, it was still sort of marketed that way and families will probably come out today and tomorrow. About $22M or $23M sounds right to me for the weekend.

Okay, I agree, but seriously, who asked for 2 Fast 2 Furious?
Who asked for Tomb Raider 2? Heck, even that was more successful!

Yep, that could easily happen.
I went with slight decline of 5% on saturday...for $22m-$23m in needs around 10% rise.
