Re: Venom Previews
The Addams Family 2 $5.5 million The Many Saints of Newark. Can't find a daily number but Variety estimates the weekend at $5.3M so likely $1.5M-2M or so. That's a lot more than I was expecting for Adams Family. It could do $16M or so essentially meaning the openers brought in $100M+ this weekend! JB next weekend, could we see a $150M weekend next weekend if Venom doesn't fall off a cliff and Adams Family holds?

Re: Venom Previews
Hotel Transylvania probably would've done well against Halloween Kills. So dumb lolol
Fantastic for Venom. I guess it would've done 100m+ pre-pandemic, crazy.

Re: Venom Previews
Not a big fan of the original Venom but happy for Sony to rake in the big bucks.
WB on the other hand deserves nothing but flop after flop after sabotaging their release states. The Sopranos film should have received a theatre only release. Likewise Dune which deserves to flop if only to further devastate WB.

Fantastic for Venom. I guess it would've done 100m+ pre-pandemic, crazy. Feel like it would have done a Deadpool 1/2 type OW for $125-135M if its able to do $80-85M now. Lots of people still aren't comfortable going back to theaters yet. Sony between Venom ($150M+), Spidy ($250M+) and Ghostbusters ($100M+) could potentially have $500M+ worth of box office in just 3 months. We are at $2,447,389,223 for 2021. If we have average $851M for the months of October, November, December we have a chance to get to $5B for the year. Looks like a stretch but not impossible!

I don't think this does much more without the pandemic. Bond is about to explode.

Re: Venom Previews
Makes me wonder what would have happened if WB had just rolled back the first Suicide Squad. Will Smith, David Ayer, PG13…. Would probably make at least $200M domestic right?

Re: Venom Previews
Venom 3 title and release date change. "Venom: The Last Dance" and now opening on Oct. 25 this year, not Nov. 8.
I like the title. Keeps up the campiness that people like about this franchise. Not a fan at all of the release date. The weekend before Halloween?! Those parties are going to hit it's box office.
