I've seen the error of my ways, baumer. They are my second favorite team. \:D/

As much as some of you may not like Rob or think Amber is a bit blank, you have to admit they're not that bad as a couple. They almost never fight or argue with each other, which is more than can be said of many of the couples that have been on this show in the past.
I know you're like not talking to me or something  But while i agree that's hardly a reason for why they should win.
I can also admit that as contestants both are great, and so if they win it will be because they earned it, I guess. But it doesnt change the fact that to me, and I'm not alone, Rob is an extremely dislikable, rude, and obnoxious guy. So it's hard for me to root for someone like that, regardless of how competitive they are.
In order of preference:
1. Unchenna & Joyce
2. Meredith & Gretchen (distant second)
3. Ron & Kelly (distant third)
4. Rob & Amber (back at the bottom)

It's just a coincidence that my order is exactly like the order she told me that I was to cheer them in minutes before I changed it.

I agree with Rod about Rob and Amby. Sure they're competitive, but that's a pretty insipid reason to cheer them on since everyone left (except for the ever clueless Gretchen and Meredith) are gunning for the million and actually have a decent shot at it.

They're competitive, they never fight with each other, they're intelligent, they're strong, both do great in challenges (Amber does most of the Road Blocks, if you've noticed) and... they're Rob and Amber!!
But, if Ron and Kelly get ditched next week, then all three teams will have most, or all, of that going for them. Meredith and Gretchen don't have much of the strength in challenges, they're just getting lucky enough thus far. But aside from that, even I, a strong Romber lover, cannot deny that all three of those teams will be the best final three, if it happens. I sure hope so. Ron and Kelly in the final three could mean a win, you know? They could get there like Zach and Flo from Season 2 or 3.

And now the real reason I joined WOKJ: just to type these words:
Gretchen: Meredith, I think we got a bad elephant!
As she deducts 135-150 lbs of energy from pushing the elephant and adds 150 lbs more to push along with the original 600 lbs. So before her sterling analysis,. approx. 325 lbs were pushing a 600 lbs elephant an approx 1/2 ratio. Now 175-200 lbs are pushing a 725-735 lbs elephant an aprox. 1/3.5 ratio. Right on, Gretchen I heard Brit Hume wants her to join the Fox All-Stars.
The second reason I joined:
Gretchen: Meredith, I think we got a bad camel!
And who can forget the immortal line she screamed 45 years ago on her honeymoon.
Gretchen: Meredith, I think we got a bad monkey!
Hell is hearing these lines over in a loop and as you watch her struggle up the ladder of the Turkish fortress from the last episode.
I seriously suspect Meredith is contemplating a divorce if he hasn't already filed the papers.
God Bless you Gretchen, America salutes you.

I hate this show.
This show is racist, homophobic, and ageist.
It is like Bush's America:
White Millionaire couple: Every Rd they win, they get a prize.
Gay couple (won at least one rd): Nada
Black couple that shave their freakin' head (won two rds and had a chance at gnome prize): Zilch
Senior citizen couple (I don't think they have won a rd-every body can't get lost, wreck their truck and blow out their engine on the same episode, but they did have a chance to win this weeks' gnome prize): You know the drill
White Beauty Pagent Contestant and POW couple (Finished last): Yet win the gnome prize.
Of Course if it was exactly like Bush's America the POW would get a bill for the prize once he got back to the states.

I love this show, and that's coming from somebody who hasn't been a big fan of the reality TV era. It's just...exciting! I never looked into the fixes that are probably in. It's the way of the world, I'm afraid. As far as entertainment, it definitely provides more than it's share.

Hey, I just heard that Lynn and Alex are comming to Canada to get married! I can't say I'm surprised: considering that Lynn is probably still brooding about finishing behind Rob in the race, he'll want to beat them to the alter to make up for it.

Ugh, I thought he was brooding for being named LYNN.

Yes, I hate a show that I can recite lines from two episodes past. Actually, it does annoy me that the Rob and Amber who have made $1.5m off Survivor and probably another $0.5-1.0m in endorsements got prizes both times, yet Alex/Lynn and Uchenna/Joyce got nothing. I can handle the gnome thing, because that was "random". I mean I know the show is edited and scripted for enjoyment, but I think everyone should get a prize for winning a leg. Sue me, I am an egalitarian.

I want Rob and Amber to win but it was still amusing to see Rob's attempt to manipulate Gretchen blow up in his face. If Rob had not played with Gretchen's head she would never have given Ucheena the idea that there was a better flight and all four teams would have ended up on the same flight. Now Rob and Amber start out in third place with one more yield looming ahead.
I also have to admire Gretchen for completing the Roadblock, she was the only female and oldest contestant to complete that task. This is also the first time Gretchen and Meredith managed to finish in the top half in any leg. Here's hoping Ron and Kelly are eliminated next week (because I don't like Kelly).

The thing about this show is that all the teams usually end up together in the next leg immediately. Isn't that the way? As long as you don't finish last, you're fine. If Rob keeps his mouth shut, he won't be competiting to beat a beauty pageant contestant and a POW.

If this is an elimination round tonight, and Gretchen and Meredith aren't eliminated because Uchenna and Joyce help them out (and I can already hear Gretchen whining about how heavy those boats are...), then it's all the more reason Uchenna and Joyce deserve to win.
boo hiss at Ron and Kelly!

Actually, it will be downright hilarious if the final two teams tonight are Meredith and Gretchen, and Uchenna and Joyce, and... you know... Uchenna and Joyce get eliminated. That would be pretty much hilarious. At least Rob learned from his mistake, hopefully, and will be caught up with all four teams, and he and Amber will take the top spot again.

Uchenna and Joyce are one hour ahead of the old couple, and more than an hour and a half ahead of Rob and Amber. They're in a good position, as long as they don't screw up.
