Magnus wrote: Michael Bay is at his highest level of self awareness and has given us the most Michael Bay films of all Michael Bay films. And it’s fucking glorious and beautiful. Genuinely one of my favorite action films of the decade. I can’t believe it’s 2019 and so many people still don’t understand the brilliance of Bay.
I’m so mad Netflix didn’t show this in theaters outside NYC/LA. This deserves a massive screen and theater sound. Every word of this post is true. This is Michael Bay unleashed and it's a fucking action-masterpiece. Pure awesomeness from start to finish. Haven't enjoyed a movie like this in forever. Michael Bay is a god. Seriously.

Re: 6 Underground
Lol I should have known Magnus was going to eat this one up. I wouldn't call this an action masterpiece by any means or really even a good movie, but I did enjoy it. Bay is still a master craftsman when it comes to his action sequences with stuff like that batshit, crazy car chase in the opening and the sequence at the end with the ship magnet. Really fun and creative stuff IMO, but this movie is seriously lacking in so many areas, especially when it comes to the writing of the characters and the pacing in the middle section. This had no business being over 2 hours, but at least I was never bored.

Re: 6 Underground
This was awesome. Even with some awful writing and soundtrack choices and the insistence that they were the "good guys". It's the most pure, uncut Michael Bay we've had since Bad Boys 2.

Dil says it right, I enjoyed it as well, but there's some critique.

Re: 6 Underground
Made it about 40 minutes in before having to turn it off. Reminded me of something from 2005.

Re: 6 Underground
Wanted to elaborate, it's a fun and fast paced film. The cast is good and the explosive action doesn't disappoint. But the story is just kind of weak and that was the reason I never got really engaged into this.
