The market is so barren right now that anything decent looking will breakout.

Which will make more, this or Sonic?
I haven't seen much promotion for this in my theaters. No standee, just one standard-size poster. Trailers were not attached to any of the 6 movies I saw this year while I have seen a Sonic PSA message twice.

I cant see $80m for this - more like $60m - though legs may be better than expected.
Sonic on the other hand will overshadow this film's second weekend.

Embargo lifts at 12pm pacific Wednesday. If reactions are indication of how reviews will be seems silly to have waited last minute but eh.

Tracking is at $55m, certainly feels reasonable.

$55m would be decent though I am assuming reviews (if great) can help it push past $60m.

It will be interesting to see if this last minute embargo works.
If it stays at this level I could see 60m+ happening. Pls

Re: Birds of Prey (&theFantabulousEmancipationofOneHarleyQui
Its good, first one of these DCEU movies that I really enjoyed even though here and there you can see things poured in and scenes starting out of the blue. I do think the legs on this one will be good.
Compared to the trailers the movie is still in VERY dark settings (not sure why), the trailer made it look much more brighter somehow. Maybe it was my screening only. When someone watches it do let me know how they felt on the brightness compared to the scenes in the trailer.

PS around here don't seem great but I'm not concerned. Been impressed more than once with girl power and the superhero set.

This will do over/under 70m OW. Buzz seems much better than Shazam, it has to do significantly better than that to not be a disappointment.

The DCEU is on a great run. Wonder Woman, Shazam, Joker, maybe Harley Quinn. Is there a Kevin Feige equivalent behind it all?
