Even with the long wait between sequels fans are pretty much sure that this isn't going to be the last SW movie to come and after EP8 the interest in the series from casual audience have definitely come down. From what I can remember the buzz for EP8 was HUGE at the start of 2017 with the first clip of Luke but this time Disney will over-saturate market competing with its own different departments. I don't think this will generate any buzz before August and Disney is doing well not to release any clips for now.

Regardless I don't think EP9 will see any significant increase from EP8 this time like the past movies have seen in the series.

A Matrix Revolutions type drop is more likely than any increase.

In fact I think there's a good chance Jumanji 2 outshines it in December. Laugh if you want.

The Star Wars situation isnt good - but its not that bad Barrabas. I'm thinking Jumanji 2 falls to $300-$350m at best - a number even a wounded Episode IX will surpass.

Jumanji 3 is going to do lot less than the first. Least around 50m/100m less domestically.
Episode 9 won’t have a problem at all.

I'm not laughing but I still don't think it will do less than Jumanji 2 though outshine is the right word
