Re: Friday #s
On the bright side a 100 plus million for the upside is looking very likely. Kevin Hart and his power.

Re: Friday #s
The Kid Who Would Be King did not have previews. So weekend multiplier will be kind to it. An OW close to $7m is likely.

Re: Friday #s
Saying 19 million for Glass. Pretty solid, should be good for close to 110 million. And The Mule will become hit 100 million.
With Adjusted Clint Eastwood will be the only actor to star in 100 million films in the last 6 consecutive decades, with under a year to go. I think the only ones that can hit that by 2029 are Stallone, Ford, or DeNiro.

Re: Friday #s
Weekend estimate has The Upside with just an 18% drop. Extremely impressive coming off MLK weekend. Damn. Will probably be #1 next weekend. We will see what Glass pulls in this weekend.

Re: Friday #s
It looks like it. Everything is coming in above estimates after Friday numbers. Glass did over 19 Million and a 52% drop which is pretty impressive.

Wow that is an excellent drop for Glass really. Another split between audiences and critics.
The Upside legging it out to $100M is also extremely impressive. Kevin Hart is the safest bet in Hollywood right now.

Shockingly good drop for Glass considering how hard past panned Shyamalan movies have dropped. The Village (which is super underrated though and I feel doesn't get considered among his awful movies nowadays as much) and The Happening collapsed after opening weekend.

Re: Friday #s
Audiences are liking this way more than those though. So many people I've talked to loved it. I myself think it's underrated.

Re: Friday #s
Signs, Sixth Sense, and Split are the exceptions. I was just strolling down memory lane, we can talk about how terrible Village, Last Airbender, and Happening did, but my God Unbreakable's legs are fucking atrocious. It made 46 million in it's first 5 days 19 years ago and failed to hit 100 million. And the competition was very slight, should have been good for at least 140 million back then, especially since many consider it to be his best film.

Re: Friday #s
Damn, just saw that Unbreakable’s budget was 75m in 2000. Then Split and Glass were 9m and 20m respectively. Not unusual for budgets to go down, but that’s quite a bit, especially considering how high 75M was in 2000. That’s the same budget as the first X-Men.

Re: Friday #s
To be fair I think about 45 of it went to Willis, Jackson, and M. Willis was off of Armageddon and Sixth Sense at that point.
