I've only seen 3 movies from that list and 2 of those are not supposed to be among the best movies of the year because truth be told they're terrible.

Red films I haven't seen yet. I think Florida Project came and went from my area so I won't get a chance to see that again until January if it gets rereleased.

I feel no matter where I see The Shape of Water during awards season, it is there just to make up the numbers.

Wonder Woman lol. It was good but nowhere near AFI top 10 worthy.

Poor Coco. Good list other than that.

That just opened here today so I'm hoping to see it Tuesday. I assume it will indeed expand in January. Like Room did. Its Box Office and theater counts are pretty similar to that film at this point.

Re: AFI's 10 Best Films of 2017
You see, this is why it is underrated. Switch her with a male character and the film is still great. A lot of people are going into this film wanting to not like it because it is held so high because of the SJW crowd before it even came out. But the film is not about feminism, it is about niavity and the morality of war, perfectly captured in a moving WWI setting. It follows an innocent protagonist who might be well read, brave, courageous, and powerful, but lacks an understanding on how War works, yet through her own courage is able to inspire and see the beauty of humanity through the ugliness of mankind.

It’s a really good Marvel movie made by DC, nothing more.
