Re: The Avengers: Infinity War predictions
After watching it about 10 times I really do love it. This is the perfect trailer to play in front of TLJ who are mostly the general audience. Also, what a great use of the original Avengers score. That is going to be nostalgic for so many fans.

Re: The Avengers: Infinity War predictions
That Marvel is now in the "nostalgia" shit makes me feel old af. This does not feel like "filler" shit like Dultron.
Should clear $200m OW.

Re: The Avengers: Infinity War predictions
It was an alright trailer, kinda prefer the Comic Con one.
I'm thinking opening will be around Age of Ultron.

I think that trailer is awesome. So glad I picked it #1 in the draft (which I hadn't intended to do up until the choice)

I think it opens above 200m, but below the first Avengers.

Re: The Avengers: Infinity War predictions
On paper, don't know about total, but $230m OW. This is the movie everyone has been waiting for since 2008. The "piece de resistance". All of the heroes versus the big bad villain they've been teasing for years. This isn't just the event film for this series. It's the event film for the superhero genre.
This is what Justice League should've been if Zack Snyder and Warner Brothers weren't such fuck-ups. A Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman movie (and not a versus movie where she's barely in it) alone should've been that film.
The sequel should probably still open to over $200m, but there will be a drop off.

Already 13 million views for this on youtube. That kind of clip blows away pretty much everything except The Force Awakens.

Re: The Avengers: Infinity War predictions
The YouTube reactions to this trailer are immense. This is the kind of stuff you only see from Star Wars trailers and it seems to already be blowing away the trailers for TFA/TLJ.
If Marvel/Disney don't fuck this up there is no way this is going below $200M OW.

Re: The Avengers: Infinity War predictions
Ultron's and Civil War's performances really have me on the fence with this, but I'm getting the feeling this will actually live up to the hype for the most part. It's true the internet buzz is HUGE right now, but looking at some of the reactions on YouTube this is definitely getting a lot of attention from the casual fans. Like I said before I haven't seen this many diverse people react to something like this on this scale outside of Star Wars, so that has to mean something. Of course it will be on the more front loaded side, but the OW should be massive regardless. It's not going below $200M OW and while I don't want to go too crazy right I have a hard time seeing it go below $210-$215M.
My early prediction is 220/500.

My early prediction is 220/500. If it delivers, how front-loaded will it actually be though? It has practically no competition until Solo Memorial Day weekend.

Re: The Avengers: Infinity War predictions
The difference between Civil War, Ultron and this is...
Ultron was just yeah Avengers are back together again! Civil War was, Why Are Iron man and Captain Fighting! and yeah Spiderman!
IW is more the Avengers film everyone has been waiting and has been the final buildup of ten years. You can notice they used the Avengers theme and also adding in the Guardians of the Galaxy as well.
I think this will do around Ultron Numbers because it seems many non-Marvel fans have tuned out.

Avengers breaks It's record it seems handily Avengers 4 is so going to crush this. If Infinity War delivers than the hype for that film is going be fucking INSANE!!! They are also really going to be playing up the EPIC FINALE factor.
