Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
I was ready to rip the DBacks manager for leaving his starter in too long AGAIN. But they came back and won anyway despite it.

Roxs looked like the best pick coming out west, but Dbacks are coming on strong

Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
Talk about biggest disappointment of the year. The NL Central is weak this year and they somehow can't runaway away with their division.

With exception of the Nationals and Astros, pretty diverse All-Star lineup

So can we call the Chicago White Sox a minor league team now?

Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
Wow Stanton has 51 home runs already. With PEDs being back and league wide HRs being as high as it's been the last few years it only makes sense the crazy individual numbers come back

Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
I have a hard time believing that with HRs breaking the PED era's records that they're not back. This season is on pace to beat the total home run record by like 500-600 HRs and last season almost set the record. Clean batters pulling that off seems as likely as a clean Lance winning 7 Tours over juicers was

11 in a row for the Tribe as the starting pitching is just dominant right now. Buttt we are kind of running out of time for Miller, Brantley and Kipnis to get healthy and without them it will be tough in the playoffs.

Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
Crazy comeback win for the Indians last night. Yet losing Encarnacion and the infalibility of Corey Kluber still makes it feel like a loss. I'm no longer confident they will be able to keep up with the Stros.

Indians have now lost six close-out playoff games in a row. Champ City is out and Choke City is back.

Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
1999 ALDS - Lead 2-0 / Lost 2-3 (PEDRO!/O’LEARY!) 2001 ALDS - Lead 2-1 / Lost 2-3 2007 ALCS - Lead 3-1 / Lost 3-4 (JD DREW!) 2016 WS - Lead 3-1 / Lost 3-4 2017 ALDS - Lead 2-0 / Lost 2-3
0-14 in those six series “clinching” games. That’s impressive.

Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
Yep, and while they clearly deserved to lose this series against the Yanks, it amplifies just how bad the World Series collapse was. Now they have to manage the money of all these guys and I can't see that ending well.

Re: 2016 Major League Baseball Discussion
Go Cubs! Getting through those relief innings was survival. Dodgers series should be great
The Nats history is brutal. They had a great roster. They shot themselves in the foot so many times that game. I don't know how Cubs got 9 runs in that game, most of it felt like a combination of infield sacrifice hits, wild pitches, hit by pitch, etc. that just added up

The World Series is set Astros vs Dodgers. I am glad the Yankees didn't win, would have been sick of hearing about the Yankees vs Dodgers rivalry.
