Re: Production Budgets

Re: Production Budgets
Considering all of those high budgets for measly films thrown around, $40m is incredibly healthy for Baywatch. The film may really stink, but at least they did their accounting right.

I bet Dwayne gets $15m of that $40m.

Re: Production Budgets
Considering his status that probably makes sense and totally worth it too. Still crazy though considering more than a third of a film's budget is going to just one actor.

Re: Production Budgets
Without him, the film makes less than $50m worldwide. So he deserves the whole $40m in my opinion. lol

Have in mind they only spent like $10 in costumes therefore keeping the budget low.

Re: Production Budgets
I noticed BOM put Baywatch's budget at 69m, which paints a whole different picture, but a number that also would not have surprised me before. I wonder how well it will do worldwide, not sure what number to put on there, $150m?

Re: Production Budgets
Baywatch should clear $200m WW total and $70m budget should be enough to get money from home media sales.

Re: Production Budgets
Great budget for WW and holy shit at that budget for CU. It could be enormously profitable if it breaks out this weekend and I'm sure DreamWorks realizes the franchise potential.

Re: Production Budgets
That sounds good all things considered. $400m worldwide is not out of the question and makes it a smart budget.

Re: Production Budgets
Yeah, if this manages 400m WW I think Universal will be happy. I'm feeling domestic numbers will be low though.
