 How many movies have you seen in cinemas in 2017? I smashed past last year's total, but was just shy of my all-time best of 47 in 2013.

I got a full-time job, met my wife (first romance), started to learn Mandarin, and did other things. I still watched films at home. Plus, a lot of the films looked crap or didn't interest me. Re: How many movies have you seen in cinemas in 2017? Last year was surprisingly weak, only 17. Usually it is 30-50. Now I'm not sure. Now I get movies in theaters in 1080 HD at my house. I watched 4 I was planning to see in the next week at home during Christmas.

Re: How many movies have you seen in cinemas in 2017? Eh, I don't just attend the cinema to get a good copy. It's more about the experience as a whole. It cannot be replicated at home (unless you're George Clooney and literally have a cinema in your house).

From what I can count on my Letterboxd. Frankly it surprised me as I would say about 50 because it seems like I go at least once a week. Seems like I've been lazy theater wise this past year.

At least I can justify my 230-240 theatre visits by it being an essential part of my job (about 70-75% of those films I saw during work hours, at 10 am or noon).

I take time out of my work for sure and movies are a bigger priority than work, plus as I mentioned earlier I watch a movie in theater almost all weekdays. Its just a passion thing or maybe something added up since I didn't get to visit theaters as a child as much as I liked.

At the end of September, I decided I was going to see every film we play (the cost for me is time, as it's free to see the movies). Prior to getting the job, I had seen 8 films in the theater for the year. Between June and the end of September, 11 more. Between then and the end of the year, 36. Plus I've seen Passengers, Fences, Manchester By The Sea, and Hidden Figures since Jan. 1st.
So,
2016 = 55
2017 = 4, Next up A Monster Calls and Underworld: Blood Lines
